JUST LIKE HOME!
Check-in was quick and the house was clean when we arrived. The house is beautiful - very cozy and light! (So many homes we've stayed in are dark even with the shades open.) The home has plenty of space even with the belongings of 3 small children scattered throughout it. The location is the pier is perfect & the convenience of the walkway to the beach is fantastic - makes it much easier for lunch & quick trips to the house. The kitchen is well-stocked with utensils & appliances, TV entertainment center (movies, DVD player, etc...) is great! We love everything about this house - the only suggestion we would have is a gas grill - they're just easier to light & use at the beach. More...

Perfect location
We think Pelican's nest is in the perfect location. Not in the middle of the hubub but not to far from shopping and restaurants. It has everything we need but is not too fancy so that we feel uncomfortable. One idea for improvement would be a gas grill for the deck or the downstairs.

A Wonderful Week at the Beach
Our family had a wonderful week on the Outer Banks, due in large part to the fantastic Pelican's Nest. The home was clean and neat, nicely appointed, with plenty of space and amenities. It was comfortable and the decor was lovely and relaxing. It couldn't have been any closer to the beach - the views were amazing - and it was easy to take the short walkway, right into the sand. It was also kid-friendly - a huge plus!

favorite location
I believe we stayed at Pelican's nest four (maybe five) years in a row. It has been our favorite location in Nags Head-- on the beach and close to the pier. We would definately come back-- the only reason we didn't re-rent was because we really need an extra bedroom and the last year we stayed my dad was concerned about the deck being unsafe especially with younger kids. The deck has been re-built and some things updated so we would highly consider returning. It is a convenient location and a well equipped home. We love Nags Head, see you this summer! More...
