This was our first time visiting Gatlinburg and so we did everything by
internet. We got soooo lucky finding Jacskon Mountain because the Black Bear
community of log cabin homes was great! Not to mention the house we stayed
in, High Mountain View. The name says it all! The house had the best view of
TN. The house itself was new and extreamly well kept not to mention the
perfect decor. The final touch was the already set up decorated Christmas
Tree and pre-lit garland up the stairs. Between the great view, the Christmas
decorations and the cold weather, it really felt like the Holidays to us (we are
from Ft. Lauderdale!). One more thing, there was PLENTY of space and each
room had it's OWN bathroom so for two familes (4 adults and 5 kids) it was
more than enough room. THANK YOU!

As always our stay in black bear falls and with Jackson Mountain homes was wonderful. The house was beautiful, clean and tastefully decorated. We will stay in Black Bear Falls and with Jackson Mountain Homes for years to come! More...

We've been coming to Black Bear Falls for the past couple of years and we love it. We have been coming for the past 6 years and have stayed with a couple of other rental companies, but not anymore. Its Jackson Mtn. Homes from here on out. We had the best view of the snow way up on top ot the other mtns. Very nice cabin, we will be back next Oct. if not sooner. Oh yeah, we got married while there.

The service we received from Jackson Mt Homes was exceptional, both during the reservation, check-in and check-out process. Staff is very friendly.
We were disappointed with a couple of ammenities in the cabin itself. First, we only had one trash bag to use for our 5 day stay. We had to continually dump the contents in the dumpster several times a time and reuse the bag (gross). Also, there did not seem to be enough towels for the amount of people we had. We were washing towels daily, which is not something we looked forward to on vacation. The kitchen was lacking several items. There was only 1 big pot to cook in, which made making even spaghetti a challenge for all of us. There were also not many preparation bowls available. These comments are based on 4 other cabins that we have stayed at in Black Bear Falls, which always seemed very well stocked with the items we needed.
One thing that was VERY irritating was the day of check out. We noticed a SUV sitting across road from the driveway of our cabin. The lady behind the steering wheel sat in her vehicle beginning at 9:00 am and would not look away. She watched as we loaded our vehicles and finished getting ready to vacate. My brother in law wondered if maybe it was the cleaning crew. After we pulled out at exactly 10:00 am (check out time), we waited a few minutes and turned back to see what this person was up to. It turned out to be the cleaning lady and she pulled in the driveway immediately after my brother in law pulled out. We thought her behavior was very rude and made us feel uncomfortable and rushed to leave. Although I understand that she probably had deadlines to meet, it was rude for her to sit for an hour and stare at us and our activities. We have never experienced this before in using Jackson Mt Homes, and hope this was an isolated incident, but thought you would appreciate knowing how it made us feel.
