Guest Reviews for Ilikai Marina Condo - 1480

What a view!
We absolutely loved Ilikai Marina Condo 1480. The view is amazing, and makes the one bedroom/studio-ish type condo seem larger. The furnishings and "stuff" are great - very complete. Because it is located a ways down from Waikiki and faces the ocean, not Ala Moana Blvd., there is very tolerable street noise when the windows are open. The ocean sounds cover up 99% of the ambient sound.
Some issues with bathroom wall electrical outlets - had trouble using my own hairdryer, and the condo hairdryer worked most of the time. Otherwise fabulous. We would definitely stay there again!

Exceeded our expectations.
The ease of renting the condo and arrival information was straightforward. We encountered no problems. We preferred their location as it wasn't as busy as the center of Waikiki but was convenient to everything. The view was the best and we have no negative comments about our stay there. We would have no second thoughts about staying their again.

A MILLION DOLLAR VIEW!
Ilikai Marina Condo 1480 was our first experience renting a vacation condo, sight unseen, using an Internet site. It was also our first visit to Honolulu. We hit the jackpot! Originally we tried to book Ilikai Marina Condo 1294 but it was not available for the dates we needed. My wife contacted Chuck Buser, the manager for the condo, and he suggested we take a look at Condo 1480 which was an end unit with a corner view and similar to 1294. We booked 1480 but we had no idea what a great favor Chuck had done for us. The information and pictures on the website were accurate and Chuck answered all of our questions and provided other helpful and useful information. The booking process was very easy and the follow-up from Chuck was great and his instructions/
directions were clear and easy to follow. The check-in process was easy and simple - open the lock box and open the door. The view from the condo is fantastic - A MILLION DOLLAR VIEW. The condo suited our needs perfectly and we found many little unexpected extras in the well equipped and appointed condo. It is also in a great location. We didn't realize until we got there how centrally located the condo was to most everything - within walking distance to beaches, parks, restaurants, shopping and even central Waikiki beach. On the street level of the condo building, there are four (4) restaurants, Outback Steakhouse, The Chart House, Red Lobster and the Harbor Pub & Pizza. Across the street was a McDonald's and a ABC Store for basic groceries and sundry items. We saved a lot of money making use of the well equipped kitchen and we had a priceless view for every meal that many restaurants do not have. We were told about the parking cost ($17/day) since we had a rental car but we were always able to find a spot close to the elevators and with our parking pass, coming and going was very easy and convenient. There is even a security guard on site. We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed our condo. We highly recommend Ilikai Marina Condo 1480, Aloha Condos and Chuck Buser.

Awesome Condo
Condo 1480 at the Ilikai Marina complex was fantastic! The views were priceless and the amenities were wonderful. Everything was close by to make our stay comfortable. The ABC store was across the street for groceries as well as a MacDonald's The Charthouse on the first floor was an unexpected surprise and their bar and "puu puus" specials nightly were super reasonable and a great way of eating out without breaking the bank. It was a five minute walk to the beach and the beautiful lagoon is great for kids. On the other side is Ala Moana beach park and there was a fair going on when we arrived. The Ala Moana shopping mall is probably more convenient getting there by bus or car, it is 3 very long blocks away. We will definetly return for a longer stay!
