Guest Reviews for Kaleialoha Resort Condo - 105

Superb location & situation
We loved unit 105. Its location was great and the
others at the location were very friendly. It
brought back fond memories of my stay on the same
highway as a kid nearly 40 years earlier. The
views every day and sunsets every night were
stunning. The first floor location and ability to
walk right out onto the lawn and overlook the shore
made this condo functionally much larger than its
actual footprint. Both adults and both kids (boys
8 and 2) thought it was terrific. The wifi access
was a bit odd, with my laptop only occasionally
getting a signal, but that was very minor. (After
all, if you're on your laptop much with a view like
that of 105, you're nuts!) More...

Great place
We loved this place. It's pretty, well set up, comfortable, great bed. It was wonderful being right on the water- you could watch the surf, the turtles, snorkel, walk the beach. It's close to coffee, shops, good places to eat, farmers market, beaches, the harbor, etc. Even tho' it's in the midst of lots of condos we still felt a sense of being secluded being on the lanai and looking out at the water.

Bad Hawaii
This unit is tastefully decorated and nicely furnished. However, upon awaking our first morning we were puzzled to see metal poles standing immediately outside the lanai door. Then upon further inspection tools, paint buckets, air compressors, and much more were strewn around the lanai. Since we are travling with a 2 year old this immediately meant that the lanai area was dangerous. At 8 AM a work crew showed up and closed off our access to the ocean-- both from the unit and the steps around the building-so much for all of the promises of ocean and 30 steps to the waves. After telephoning the owner we were immediately offered a 50% discount or the option to move out...considering that a day had already been wasted and we had already settled into the unit and that we had not traveled to Maui to spend all of our time searching for a new unit or packing and unpacking several times. Of course the owner, being an attorney and real estate broker, knew that she was in trouble. There is no excuse for not knowing what is happening at your own unit, especially since the construction had been continuing for several weeks. There are many other units in the same area as well as better locations in Kihei. In general the Big Island has much more to offer compared to Maui. More...

Beautiful location and very relaxing
My husband, 4 year old son and I stayed in unit 105
and had a wonderful family vacation. This ground
floor unit was not only well equipped with everything
we needed, it was also perfect for my son to play on
the grass outside our lanai. The location and views
were spectacular. The few steps down to the beach
made for a nice quick jump in the ocean. We also saw
many sea turtles just off shore. All the people we
ran into at the Kaleialoha were very helpful and
welcoming. We'd definitely stay there again!
