Guest Reviews for Keauhou Kona Surf and Racquet Club Condo - 1-203

Great Condo
Everything was as described in the ad, right on the ocean. It is a ways from Kona but we found that was fine as there really isn't much to do in Kona anyway, just a lot of souvenir shops. There is a mall close by for any groceries or other things you may need. We didn't find the lack of A/C an issue as the breeze at night cooled things off. Very nice condo, the only thing we didn't like was the laminate flooring in the bathrooms seemed dingy. Not sure why they wouldn't have just extended the tile into the bathrooms, but that was a minor issue. More...

Best Condo
This was the best condo we've ever stayed in. We've been vacationing in Kona off and on for 30yrs. All communication, directions and discriptions were exact.
I really appreciate the lawn chairs, mats, towels all the equipment and coolers. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms well supplied and there were enough spices in the kitchen to cook in, if you wanted to. We did grill, once right, across the parking lot.
The view could not be beaten, fantastic! The location was super.
The kitchen cupboards and drawers could use a little attention. That's very minor compared to the plus of this condo.
We can't wait to return.
Thank you.

Gem in Paradise
What an incrediable vacation. The condo was SO beautiful, we hardly felt the need to leave it and explore the island. To have the sound of the ocean put you to sleep at night, and the breathtaking views in the morning was more than we had hoped for. We were very thankful to be on the second floor too, as it both allowed for an unabstructed view of the ocean, and also the piece of mind that the waves would stay where they belong! The condo was set with every appliance, spice, and toy we needed. The pool was warm and clean, the grounds were beautiful, and we were only minutes away from great boogy-boarding and turtle-filled snorkeling beaches. Thank you for an amazing family experience!!! We'll be back =) More...

A very relaxing place to stay
This condo met and exceeded our expectations. It's bigger than it looks
from the pictures online. Everything you could wish for is in the kitchen
(except I couldn't find a kettle to make tea with...so I used the microwave).
Waking up to natural light, going to bed with the sound of the ocean so
close- it was all great. The condo is clean, and very well equipped. No air
conditioning, so it might be hot in the summer(?) but we found the breeze
and the ceiling fans kept us very comfortable at night. The property is well
maintained, and directions for check in and check out were very
straightforward. We thought the value for our cost was very good,
especially as we were not in the high season. There is a shopping center
very close by, so it is easy to get what you need without a long journey, but
at the same time, the location is far enough out of town to make you feel
like you are not in tourist central. It's a great location to have as a home
base, as it's very central for touring the island (lots of driving wherever you
stay on Hawaii to see everything). Most mornings there were dolphins just
offshore, and there is a nice snorkel spot very close by to see lots of fish
and turtles. The only uncomfortable moment was meeting an
extraordinarily large cockroach on the patio- but that's a tropical
environment for you! The hardest part of our stay was coming home. If we
go back to Hawaii, we'll certainly try to stay here again. More...
