A perfect place to relax and get away from it all.
This was our second stay, and we've reserved time for 2010. The condo and grounds are well maintained, and found nothing to be unhappy about.

Wonderful stay!
We had a great time staying here. This unit has a
wonderful view of the ocean and you can sit on the
lanai and watch the sunset. The condo had
everything we needed for our stay to include boogie
boards, beach towels and flashlights for the night
hike at the Volcano! The swimming pool has been
completely redone and is absolutely gorgeous and
warm, which I loved since I am not a cold water
lover. We used the BBQ area several times, which
was great for all of the people we had. I would
totally recommend this unit for anyone wanting to
stay on the Big Island at a reasonable cost. The
only negative with a ground floor unit is having to
close up the condo when you go out so its a bit
stuffy when you return. However, it cools off
quickly with the ocean breeze. This unit stays
much cooler than the third floor units. Also, the
key card for the gate was no longer there but we
just used the key code. I was pleased with the
goodies that were there for us on our arrival and
the condo is extremely close to the golf course
(absolutely beautiful to play)and shopping. The
weather was terrific, 86 degrees. All in all this
was definitely the best vacation we have had. More...

Home away from home
The condo was great. Plenty of room and it came fully equipped. It was very quiet and peacefull with a great ocean view yet only minutes of a drive from the bustling beaches and shopping areas of Kona.
Although the condo had no air conditioning, their was a nice breeze when windows and patio doors were open. It was however warm at night when we closed patio doors and retired for the evening.

WOW!! and Awesome People
Booking and dealing with the owners before arrival was easy and friendly. The Condo was neat and tidy and just right for us - 2 people for 2 weeks then 5 for 1 week. The location was awesome gorgeous views lovely and quiet, the trolley bus and shops were close and convenient. The local contact was friendly and efficient, checking in and out was no hassle at all, it was neat to have it cleaned once a week while we were there. There was washing powder, toilet paper, some toiletries and dishwash powder etc provided which was great. A very nice touch was the box of chocolates and little bag of coffee on arrival, it made us feel welcome. It was nice to have soft comfortable beds too as both my Dad and myself suffer from bad backs, so 3 weeks in a comfortable bed was great. The pool was very very nice!! I swam at least twice a day. One of the best things about staying here at the Surf and Racquet club was the really friendly cheerful ground staff, especially Jim the landscape supervisior and a couple of the younger guys, it made all the difference to our stay and one of the biggest reasons I would stay there when I come back. The best thing about our stay was the friendliness of the people, there was nothing we did not like, it was perfect. Many thanks to the owners and staff that made our stay great.
