Guest Reviews for Napili Bay Resort Condo - 217

Getting away from it all
My wife & I enjoyed the semi-isolation of Napili
Bay. This bay is beautiful!
The place was quaint, had a view of the ocean from
the lania, a very comfortable bed and was well
equipped with modern appliances, an HD TV & PVR. I
must point out though, someone prior to our visit
fumigated the place using a common over the
counter spray like Raid. It was a rude awakening
to discover as soon as we entered the condo. It
absolutely reeked!
To tell you the truth, my wife must have been
really tired as I was surprised she didn't refuse
to stay the night. We both had sore throats and
numbed tongues the next morning. The smell
lingered for the next few days. For this reason, I
am reluctant to ever book this condo again as I
found this an unacceptable practice. More...

One More Week, Please!
Contrary to what you might think, being 50 yards from the beach is preferred to being right on the beach. Great privacy from your lanai without losing the whole beach affect. You can eat your meals in your boxers if you so desire!
The room has everything, including a view, home ammenities, a great bed, a great lounging couch, a nice HD LCD tv on the wall. I wouldn't change a thing. (Especially the price. It is a bargain!) More...

What a great place to welcome the new year!
We stayed in unit 217 over the new year and it was a fabulous experience.
Initially, I was a little worried that the resort and beach would be noisy and
crowded, as we were traveling at a very busy time of year, but it wasn't. The
beach was busy, but never crowded and the resort itself was quiet and
relaxing.
Our unit was so clean and had everything that we needed. We really
appreciated the beach chairs, the boogie boards, the beach towels and the
little cooler. The bed was very comfortable and had a good selection of
pillows to choose from. It was never too hot in the unit, even though there
is no A/C. It would have been nice to have a little battery operated light for
the outside table, as we ate outside each night.
We loved that we could walk to so many places. Just steps to the beach, the
breakfast place, the restaurant for drinks at sunset. Even the grocery store,
bank and post office were only a 15 minute walk away.
This was our first Hawaiian holiday and we are totally hooked and want to
come back next year. More...

Good job, some suggestions for new additions
First of all let me thank you for the wonderful studio you provided for our stay in Maui. I was very impressed by your attention to detail for providing all the small things like water filter, aluminum sheet for oven, beach towels and the special gift for us.
My wife has a very sensitive stomach and as such avoids eating outside. Your well equipped kitchen provided us with most of the things we needed for our light cooking during our stay. Kudos for a good job. I would also like to suggest some more other additions that may be worthwhile for some of your future customers:
1. Providing (for a fee) a "kitchen basket" for those who are staying 2-4 days. This kitchen basket may have some vegetables like onion, cucumbers, tomato; small cooking oil bottle, butter, yogurt, milk, eggs etc. Basically, I felt if you are going to stay for a week or so, you would do these groceries yourself, if you are going to live for a night or two probably you won't bother with this. However, if you are somewhere in between, an option to avoid the grocery trip with some of the bare essentials for a fee is something that some of the folks will be interested in.
2. Providing a "share your leftovers location". We did some groceries but were unable to finish all what we bought in our short stay. We are an eco-sensitive couple and do not like throwing/wasting food items. There were some groceries that we wanted to buy but did not because even the smallest packaged item was more than what we needed for our trip (e.g. cooking oil, red pepper, eggs). We would have bought some of these had we known a place where we could just leave our left over knowing that someone in need can pick it up from there.
I understand you may be concerned about some legal implication because of food hazard of expired items, but I believe you can start off this with non-perishable items with appropriate waivers. Something simple like a refrigerator in an open area or a container near the barbeque area should serve the pu
