Nohonani 204 is a little gem set along the beautiful South Pacific. I call it a gem because the set up of the rooms is quite unusual, Both the master bedroom and the living room are set alongside the acqua blue ocean, whose waves lull you to sleep night after night. Most condo complexes along this stretch of white sand beaches, are configured so that the living room is on the ocean and the bedroom is on the street. Why is this a big deal you may ask? Two reasons. One, you get double the view of the beautiful blue waters of the South Pacific, plus you will find this condo to be extremely quiet all year long. Because the bedroom is on the ocean and because there is a building behind Nohonani, the street noise is eliminated. In many of the other condo complexes, you may have to endure the 5AM clang of the garbage trucks as they empty out the dumpsters on the property. That kind of wakes you from your dreaming state! At Nohonani, the n...oise is almost non-existent, so we are thankful for the building that buffers us from the strret noise and dumpsters.

Another reason we call Nohonani 204 our little gem is that the views are so magnificent. Many of our guests have told us of the hours they spend on the lanai just gazing at Molokai and Lanai. Since our condo is situated between both islands, we get the advantage of less wind and a gentle place to snorkel, Many of our guests rent snorkel gear (just down the road at Bobs) and spend part of their day leisurely snorkeling. What is so wonderful about this condo is that yoou can go from snorkeling, to swimming in the ocean, to swimming in the pool and then back to your condo on the second floor with very little hassle. Many guests repeat this process both in the morning and the afternoon and enjoy a nice lunch on our lanai in between. It is also the perfect setting for an afternoon nap. This unit has a slider off of the master bedroom, so that when lying in bed, one has a view of the entire shoreline. It's a very romantic setting taken straight out of the pages of "What would life look like in the tropics"?, or at least my concept of the way a condo SHOULD look in the tropics! The bed was manufactured in Indonesia and the white gauze that surrounds it blows gently in the breeze, so it is so easy to sleep, read or watch the flat screen tv, all from a very comfortable queen size bed. There is no need for airconditioning as the breezes from the ocean keep the condo very cool, even in the summer. I actually purchased extra blankets, as I found that in the winter it is really cool at night.

In case you can't bear to be away from everyday news, we do have a wireless hookup for your computer, which can keep our guests connected to reality, if they so choose. We also have an additional television in the living room which is great in case one of you wants to take a nap and the other wants to watch tv or a dvd. There is a store a few malls to the right of Nohonani that rents dvds, which is a fun way to spend an evening after dinner.

Another great feature of this condo is its location to restaurants. Drive north towards The Ritz Carlton and you will find some very good restaurants. The Sea House, Pineapple Grill, Sansei and The Plantation House Restaurant are all very good places, with excellent menus and are all within a ten to fifteen minute drive of the condo. You may want to grab a copy of a Zagat guide to Hawaii, which first came out in 2009. I've always found this to be a relable guide and it tells you about places to eat, drink and shop (especially places that sell Pacific Rim items) that you might not find on the mainland.

The bottom line with most people is cost. In this very challenging economic time we have made a great effort to offer our condo at a very inexpensive rate. Most of our business comes from repeat clientelle or from friends and family of our guests. We appreciate your spreading the word if you enjoy your experience at our condo. This year we have been offering unit 204 at a minimum of a 25% discount off of normal rates. We have found that people are still getting married, having anniversaries and wanting to go on vacation. However, with what has been going on in our economy globally, most people are looking for a bargain or in our case "a little gem."

Nohonani 204 has been decorated with some really fun crafts, collected throughout the Hawaiian Islands. I have enjoyed owning condos on all four principal islands, Kauai, Maui, The Big Island and Oahu. Having worked as an interior designer in NYC for nineteen years, I had a natural interest in the furnishings and accesories that the islands have to offer. I decorate my condos almost exclusively with things obtained in Hawaii. We provide beach towels for our guests along with a very clean and meticulous environment.
