Property Overview

This is the quintessential mountain vacation lodge for your group of friends or large family, or a couple of families together. This is one of our most popular large family cabins. It has 4 bedrooms plus 2 daybeds (1 has a trundle), 3 ½ baths, downstairs large game room with full size pool table, rustic, large living room with the main feature a rustic, immense stone fireplace. Two levels of decks go almost all the way around the house. A hottub in lovely covered cabana sits on the deck with long range views of the mountains.

Memorial Day getaway

This place was everything it was cracked up to be. Three families got together for a great extended weekend. The place is huge yet charming. Lots of room for all; kids could go one way, adults another. Hot tub was great after a day of rafting. Kids enjoyed the pool table. Plenty of seating for all and a big dining room table. We would gladly rent the place again. Though other homes are nearby, none are visible from this, so it gives great privacy. Porches, swings, rockers give it a great down home feeling and the bear motif is charming. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the appliances, tools, dishes. Nothing was scrimped on in the entire experience.

On the negative side, the main road was out so we had a tough time finding the place and were not informed of this by the realtor. Otherwise they were responsive. The grill had apparently been taken and they brought a replacement as soon as notified. Once we found the place, there was no problem getting around.

The main floor bedroom wall had carpenter ants. They did not affect us other than creating a pile of sawdust, but the property needs to address this or suffer structural damage.

We have rented cabins in several locations, and this one was easily the best. More...
