perfect for all! it has something for everyone. if you want to hike, boat, play tennis, play volley ball, swim, ski, snow shoe, or even just kick your feet up, relax, and do absolutely nothing.

i've stayed here both in the summer and winter. i would highly recommend it. the condo is filled with anything and everything you may need, not to mention, it's super clean. some of the features i particularity liked, was having in unit washer and dryer,two porches(one screened in) and a fire place for cold nights after skiing.

The views of the Lake and surrounding mountains are unbelievable and can be seen right from the rear deck. The new screened in porch was an added bonus. Overall, the entire place is very comfy & cozy & well decorated for a Summer/Winter retreat. Sleeping arrangments were plentiful and the big screen TV was great for relaxation time. The living room fireplace added to the wonderful ambiance & relaxing atmosphere of the home.

Oh, BTW, did I mention it is a short walk down to your own private marina/beach on Winnipesaukee!!

I plan on bringing my family back up for another getaway real soon.

We rented the condominium at Samoset in Gilford on two separate occasions. We were able to enjoy both the summer and winter seasons at the condo. Both of which we found very enjoyable with multiple activities available within close proximity to our central location. We felt the location was the biggest draw to the condo.
During the summer season we had complete access to the Samoset grounds which included a panoramic lake view pool, tennis courts, and a short walk to the fresh water lake (one of the most desirable lakes in the region). After a full day of activity we relaxed on the lower level screened in porch or upper level deck with a full service gas grill. We were able to cook and eat with 6 adults at ease in the dining room and prepare in a neatly organized kitchen.
The winter season was equally accomodating offering a short drive to the ski mountains for skiing, snow boarding, snow shoeing, snowmobiling, etc. This is prime location for winter seasoned sports. If desired, outdoor activity is one step out the front door for any of the above on the lake itself with miles of frozen water to cross safely. This time we were able to take advantage of the fireplace which was very comforting after spending the day out in the cold.
We highly recommend the condo not only for the endless options of stuff to do but also for the condition, fucntionabilty, and cleaniless the owners have kept up with.

My Labor Day Weekend stay at Samoset was perfect. It was the most relaxing way to end a great summer. The condo made me feel right at home. The pictures do not do it justice! Living in the city you learn to appreciate the mountains, a porch, & most of all a meal off the grill.

The view of the lake is picturesque and there is so much to do in/around Gilford. We went mini-golfing, for a boat ride, a romantic dinner, a hike, made our own sundaes, & I got to work on my tan! I would recommend this to anyone with or without children.
