Both of our oceanfront condos are located within the Caravelle Resort and are only a few doors apart (which is great for those parties who want to vacation together and save). Each one bedroom condo boasts a balcony with magnificent direct views of the beach and Atlantic Ocean, 3 double size beds, 2 flat screen televisions, wood cabinets and granite counter tops, and a dining area with dishes & flatware. Both condos also have wireless internet and free on-site garage parking. Both units were fully renovated in late 2006.
The Caravelle Resort itself is located on Myrtle Beach's famous Golden Mile, surrounded by luxury neighborhoods away from downtown Myrtle Beach but still close enough to easily drive. The resort features outdoor pools, kiddie pool, lazy river, indoor pool, hot tubs. There is a fitness center, arcade, and on-site laundry facilities. Buses run downtown every half hour from the resort. The beach-adjacent coffee and martini bar is a great place to unwind and socialize with new friends. Live music at the Marco Polo bar is featured in summer months.

| We really enjoyed staying at the Caravelle. The location is great, a nice short walk to the ocean (easy with my 3 year old, and 6 month old to handle). A Walmart Supercenter isnt real far away (priced better than the closer Foodlions), Broadway on the Beach is an easy drive, etc. The view from the balcony is great, we especially enjoyed it one morning when a large school of fish swam close to the beach, and I actually saw a shark come up out of the water trying to get them, and then a small herd of dolphins swam into the area to feed as well, before they were all chased away by the lifeguards blowing a loud horn. The outdoor pools were a lot of fun, and my little boy really enjoyed them. The indoor pool was generally very warm, and not real crowded. There were a few small annoyances about the place (such as silverware that previous guests had walked off with), but I am confident Joe is addressing these items- they were really no big deal, and I let him know about them so he could take care of for future guests. I think its pretty likely we'll be renting from Joe again. |

| Joe is very easy to deal with, all arrangements done quickly and succintly. Very good location right on the beach, and central to everything else in Myrtle Beach. Only negatives are being in the middle of the building, the elevator can be full many times during peak hours, so park close to your floor or walk, and bring shoes for the beach as there are tons of seashell pieces, and it gets a bit sharp to walk on (especially for toddlers). Otherwise, a recommended place. |

The owners made renting a very good experience by providing helpful information, answering questions, and sharing photos and videos of the resort so we knew what to expect. We will vacation here again! |

| This was my first time to Mrytle Beach and I can say I will be back again.....Rather it be at the Caravelle or somewhere else...for the price this was great...we had all the ammentities, view, easy access in and out...close to everything...ONLY DOWNFALL is for as busy as this place was and time of year the elevator in this 15 story high rise hotel was ridiculous.. we literally had to wait 10-15 min for the elevator going up or down. At one point we walked down and up to our EIGHTH floor hotel...needless to say that didn't happen often....and the parking was a little tight and the garage was big it was just tight they had two places you could park.....and they were both tight. Other than that...THANKS CARAVELL and Joe for a nice place to stay on our vacation. |

| My stay at the Caravelle was enjoyable. We had a view of the beach from our balcony which is a great way to get up each morning. The resort has daily activities for the kids, mine had fun painting sand dollars and getting tied died shirts and they did a movie night by the pool which was alot of fun. There is a bar and grille right off the lawn area and pool and is steps away from the beach. The pool area is great for both kids and adults. Myself and my family had a great time. |

| We had a pleasant stay and the owner was nice and responsive. On the down side, there is an issue with the elevators in the building. They are very slow and the wait can be substantial. |

On the downside, the elevator issue is my #1 by far complaint from my guests (usually the only one so that is a good thing and mostly from those in the summer) so I couldn't agree more with you based on others feedback. I'm going to press the Caravelle to work on this in the off-season or sooner hopefully.

First let me say we had a great time and Joe was awesome to deal with. The place was clean, in order, and exactly as it was described.
We had 3 negatives to report during our stay. (1) that there are only 4 elevators and they are very slow. They seem to always be in use by service personnel. In my opinion, they should have a separate service elevator for staff. (2) was the rental being on the 8th floor. It may not bother some people, it was just a slight inconvenience for us when carting kids and beach stuff up and down. (3) the pool area was over crowded and half the people did not have pool wrist bands nor did I see anyone checking them.
Just reporting as I saw it. We still had a great time! |

Thank you for the positive comments in regards to the way I do business as I take great pride in being very honest with all my guests including both the good and "bad" things about the Caravelle Resort.
In respect to the elevators, I can't disagree with you at all. During the summer, the elevators can test your patience due with all the folks. Also, the pool can be quite crowded in due to the summer crowds, but ONLY guests of the Caravelle should be using the pool. As a follow-up, I will contact the Caravelle General Manager, Chip Russell, and make sure this gets resolved. Folk with pool band only should be using the pool. If you do come back again, please let me know right away during your stay and I'll make all the necessary calls to resolve this while it is happening.

The Caravelle is a wonderful place to stay, and Joe is an easy person with whom to work. The location of the Caravelle is ideal- half way between Barefoot Landing and Broadway at the Beach and the downtown beach area. It's close to two Food Lion grocery store (reasonably priced), beach stores, a rite-aid and good locally owned restaurants. This Caravelle room is a perfect place for a larger family like ours. With 2 teenagers, a 10 year old, and a 4 year old, we could easily have a teenager meet us at the beach (after he woke up), and one adult take my 4 year old to the great pool, while the other adult is at the beach with our middle two children We'd often go between beach and pool. The room was spacious enough for all of us and it was great to have a room overlooking the ocean. The room is well kept and you have every dish you need. Two televisions prevented our kids from arguing while we made supper. I love the clothing rack in the kitchen- it was a great place to hang beach towels and swimming suits on plastic hangers to dry out without getting the floor in the rooms wet.
Joe provided all the information quickly and easily as well.
We will definitely stay here again and recommend it to our friends. |

We just returned from a two week stay at Joe's (the owner) condo in Myrtle
beach.
The condo was clean, spacious and comfortable.
The view of the ocean everyday was breathtaking.
The location was excellent because it combined a peaceful setting yet was
close to all the restaurants and shopping.
Joe was extremely helpful and a real pleasure to deal with.
If you are looking for a great place to stay in Myrtle beach, I highly recommend
Joe's condo. |

Great for kids |

We stayed the week leading up to July 4th and we had a great time and it is a wonderful location!! I have 3 kids and they all had events, games and lots of ice cream! The room was very nice and it was nice to have a kitchen so we could save a little bit of money on food.
I have to say Joe made it so easy to book our vacation and explained every detail plus was very helpful in sending information about upcoming events at Myrtle Beach! We will go back and stay at Joe's place any chance we get in the future. Thanks Joe for everything! |

I was with my two kids and we had a blast.
Sleeping with the view and the sound of the ocean and waking up to it was just heaven on earth.
we were very comfortable, and the people were very friendly. The beach was impeccably clean and it was pure pleasure walking on the beach in the evening.

| Ocean was so nice, warm. Loved the tiki bar - great food and drinks, pools, lazy river and water park area was so nice, DJ was very upbeat. Our accomodations - nice place, roomy living room, comfortable beds, bath and kitchen could use some updating. Wait time for elevators could be 5 minutes or more. If you've never been to Myrtle Beach you do not know what you are missing. We own a place in Ocean City, Maryland which is 3 hours away and the water never gets warm. i would rather drive 10 hours to MB. If I can talk my husband into it, I would like to spend a week in MB twice a year. |

| Great place to stay! The condo was very neat,clean and had all the amenities of home. Right on the beach. The pools were clean. Lots of staff members, all friendly and helpful. The resort has so much to offer... my kids enjoyed many of the activities that were scheduled during the week. | Nice upgrades including granite countertops.. EXCELLENT water pressure unlike most beach rentals!! Flat screen tv's, and a beautiful bedroom with REALLY comfy beds!! The resort also features a nice spa that offers the most wonderful massages you will EVER get at great prices. It was really family friendly as I have an 18 month old and that was important to me. Joe was great to do business with and worked with me on the checkout time which was super nice having 2 very small children with us. We will def be visiting again in the future :) |

This was my first stay at this fine resort called the Caravelle Resort and it will not be my last. We had a wonderful time and will rent the condo again. The condo was nicer than the pictures and we were steps away from the beach. The views were incredable. The ocean breeze was so comfortable and relaxing.
When we arrived the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The condo was clean and better than we expected. We visited several resturants and attractions during our stay. We loved the Big Crab Resturant for our seafood and the kids loved the amusement park at Broadway on The Beach.
If you want a great place to stay at the beach and convienient to every thing. Short walk to the beach and great accommodations, friendly staff and 1 st class condo. Then The Caravelle Resort is for you.
My family will return again to this lovely condo resort and I highly reccommend this fine condo to all people that want a great place to stay at the beach..

The condo was just as it looks in the video. Everything worked and was a comfortable place to stay.
The owner, Joe, always responded to my questions quickly.
The hotel that is affiliated with the condo was really nice to us. The pools were nice also. I like the fact that I personally saw them test the pool 2 times a day as well as the hot tubs.
If I ever go back to Myrtle Beach I'll be getting in touch with them again.
The restaurnts and bars were just fine. There wasn't really one place that stood out from the others. |

This room had a wonderful direct ocean front view. We watched the dolphins from our balcony!
The room itself was average. The resort had a few pools & hot tubs and a lazy river which was nice. It had a cute Tiki Bar for drinks or a burger by the pool/beach.
Joe was great to deal with. He made this very easy for us. The video of the room was very helpful. He put me at ease when I was leary about renting a room from an owner online.

| SINCE I HAVE STAYED AT THE CARAVELLE SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE I KNEW THE BASIC LAYOUT AND AMENITIES ALREADY. JUST ON CRAIGSLIST AND SAW THE AD FOR CARAVELL BY CONDO OWNER. THE UNIT WAS NICE AND EVERYTHING VERY ADEQUATE. THE PRICING MUCH BETTER THAN GOING DIRECT THRU CARAVELLE. NOT HAVING TO TOTE A ROOM KEY IS NICE ALSO...IT HAS A KEYPAD ENTRY. THE OWNER SEEMS VERY NICE AND FOLLOWED UP ALL THE WAY BEFORE AND AFTER MY STAY. I AM GOING BACK THERE IN JUNE WITH THE GRANDKIDS. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED IN THE UNIT. |

| Just imagine getting up in the morning and opening up the screen door and going out on the balcony and hearing the water crash against the sand, smelling the wonderful ocean mist, and seeing the birds circle. Well that is exactly what you will get and it is the most wonderful experience. The accomodations are wonderful and the location was great as well. I can't say enough about my stay other than it was hard to leave. The lazy river was so nice and the hot tub was huge. The only complaint that I would have was that the elevator was not fast enough for me. HAHA |

We highly recommend this beautiful condo. We had a lovely balcony with a perfect view of the ocean. The living living/dining room was spacious & room for company. The condo will sleep 6 people with comfort or just relax 2 of you in lovely bedroom with 2 double beds & a television, if desired.
There is plenty of room in the kitchen to cook a great meal or many wonderful places to eat out in Myrtle Beach.
As a lady, I was impressed with the spacious dressing room separate from the bathroom, which gives each person privacy while dressing. I loved it.
The pool was one floor below our condo with a hot tub next to the pool, which my husband took full advantage of relaxing.
We highly recommend this condo to anyone who wants a lovely place away from home at a reasonable price. We plan to go back to this condo in 2010.

Our first morning we were greeted by the most beautiful sunrise; they always say they are better after a storm and of course we got pictures! The view is just breathtaking and to hear and smell the ocean any time of day was fantabulous!! Your location is great -- very convenient to shopping(Broadway at the Beach, Tanger outlets), restaurants and grocery stores! Shuttle available but we didn't use; used our car.
Your condo was very comfortable and very clean!! We liked how you can close off the kitchen -- some can sleep in while others can watch tv, be on the balcony enjoying the ocean or get breakfast without waking anyone! The shower water pressure was like getting a massage!
We would definitely come again and hands down recommend your condo to our friends!! |

The condo layout is very functional with the bedroom being closed off from the kitchen and living room as well as having the oceanfront balcony right off the living room. It really works well for those who have some early risers and night birds not to disturb each other.
Also, those parents with kids can put them in the bedroom to sleep and close the door while enjoying the living room & oceanfront balcony with a glass of wine or cold frothy beer while enjoying the sounds of the ocean waves. |

This property is conveniently located right on the beach and is just a few blocks away from downtown. It's great for families or pretty much anyone. The place is recently renovated and is just the right size.
The only negatives are that parking can involve crossing a busy street, and expect to wait for an elevator. |

Even though the resort has multiple elevators on-site, I would agree with you about the elevators being a little slow during the busy summer months. During the off-season, the elevators are much quicker and parking is less crowded.
Also, Ocean Blvd. can be busy as well during the summer, but the good thing is since you are renting from an owner like me, you only have to go over there once to get your pool bands and parking pass...then you're done with them!!

Please keep in mind that this review is based on our stay during off-season since I try to avoid crowd as much as possible.
This was our first trip to the beach with our 15 month old. The anxiety was great on my part as the mother since her happiness meant less worry for me. I looked at several rental properties on-line but Caravelle had an attractive kiddie pool that seemed perfect for my child. Also the location was far away from the older part of the beach, which would've attracted the younger crowd.
The anticipation was well met. My girl was a bit afraid of all the activities in the kiddie pool (also the water was cold!) but was definitely fascinated; the beach was not over-crowded; the room was clean and spacious for the three of us (the kitchen separated the bedroom and living room so that we could watch TV without waking up the girl); availability of internet helped us to look up restaurant reviews before heading out for dinner; and the building is right next to a two lane road with bike lanes on either sides (we had taken our bicycles and a child trailer).
The only downside was that the unit is right above a roof deck which extended out to hide some of the ocean view. We were able to hear some conversations from other guests using the roof deck.
Overall we had a great time. I imagine it is a completely different place during high season, but as far as we are concerned, we came back home happy campers. |

The kiddie pool is definitely a highlight for all of my guests with young kids. Bikes are a great, fun way to get around Myrtle Beach and the bike paths offer a safe way to travel. The condo's layout is very functional and great for those who want to put the little ones to bed while still enjoying the rest of the condo's amenities, especially the oceanfront balcony.
During high tide, the roof terrace does block your view of where the beach meets the water line, but it doesn't last all day which is a good thing. Also, since you've visited in September, I've spoken with the Caravelle's on-site security personal about getting the folks on the sun terrace to disperse as night draws nears. They've been doing a very good job of this so far to date.

| I was a little apprehensive at first but the owner was totally honest. The building was old but clean and it was as advertised and the rates were truly incredible. My kids LOVED the place and keep begging to go back. |

| This resort was very well maintained. It had everything we needed in the kitchen and the bathroom. It is big enough for a family of 6, but was perfect for our honeymoon, also. The owners were very helpful and friendly. The hotel and surroundings were very nice and definitely family-friendly. Keyless entry was convenient- we didn't have to keep track of a key or keycard. The pictures and description of the condo was very accurate! |

The key-less entry system is wonderful for our guests as it provides so many benefits (e.g. no keys to mail back and forth, no one in your group needs a key just the lock code, and no one can lose the key!).

1) we LOVED that it was on the beach. That really made it perfect. It
was also great to have all that cookware - it made saving money easy
by being able to cook in the condo.
2) I would DEFINITELY stay there again!! and bring more friends too :)

Stayed for 2 months. The sun rises are breath
taking and the location was near everything.
The room was bigger than I expected and such a
comfortable space. The flat screen tv's one in
the living room and one in the bedroom were
nice touches. The full kitchen allowed for me
to make meals when I felt like cooking.
Although you are less than 4 miles to
restaurant row where there are some of the
finest eateries on the Grand Strand examples
being Chuck's Steakhouse, Rossi's, Umi, and
The Office to name a few. I was also next to a
ton of entertainment options in Broadway at
the Beach, Carolina Opry, Dixie Stampede,and
golf galore. You are right on the beach
perfect for a walk anytime of day or night.
They have a full gym and indoor pool. This
came in handy since I stayed there in winter,
but there is also an outdoor pool area with
hot tubs, lazyriver, and several pools. If I
had the chance I would do it all over again
and I will.

My family just spent a week at the Caravelle Resort and it was lovely. The room was exactly as pictured and the views are great. The resort is a great escape for people of all ages and the pools and water park are great for kids.
The resort is located away from the action of North Myrtle Beach, which allows you to really relax while still being only a couple of minutes away from all the local attractions. |

Relaxing Oceanfront Condo |

We just spent a relaxing week at the Myrtle Beach Condo and had a fantastic time. This is
the first time that we stayed in a private vacation rental property and it was perfect. We will definitely go this route again. The owner is so accomodating and extremely well organized; always quick to respond to your questions. Excellent Comminicator! Everything was just as promised.
We would definitely recommend this property with this owner.
We cannot wait for our next visit, only we will definitely stay longer - we were not ready to leave after one week.
Time to kick back and relax! |

| We had a wonderful time and enjoyed our room at the Caravelle. It was clean and very accommodating to our needs. Our little ones loved all pool areas (indoor and out), the fun children's splash area, hot tub and we couldn't keep them out of the lazy river. The private beach access was wonderful and we loved our ocean front view. The pool side snack shack/bar was great to grab a quick bite and not have to stop having fun to go somewhere else to eat. The staff was courteous and very friendly. The parking lot security guard even helped us reattach our luggage rack on the last night. The only problem was that the check in was a long process, so I would suggest getting an early start and try to beat the rush. The Caravelle was a great place to stay for kids of all ages. |

I would agree that the crowds in the summer around check-in time can be quite busy. My advice is to park, unload the car, and have one person go over to the lobby and ask for the pool bands and parking pass. This way only one person has to wait in line for these items.
