Spend time in your boat exploring the 40 mile lake, fish right from the deep water off one side of the island, sit on the outside deck and enjoy the mountain views, take a boat ride into town for dinner and an ice cream, or just sit back and relax!When you rent North Island on Moosehead Lake it is bound to be one of the most unique, peaceful and relaxing vacations you can take! Let the kids play, let the dog run, and you soak up the sun. Only 1 1/2 miles from Greenville, and 200 ft. from shore, this 1/2 acre main island connects to 2 smaller islands. In the early parts of summer you can wade to these connecting islands, and when the lake levels start to go down, a beautiful sandbar connects all three, giving you lots of room to play! Upon check-in, owners will escort you to the island and show you the ropes. Prior to August, dock will accommodate a 22 foot boat. From August through the rest of the summer, dock will accommodate 15 foot boat. Even though there is no running water or electricity, the camp with cedar interior has the basics, a kitchen with a gas stovetop, gas fridge, and gas lights, and a handpump for water into the kitchen sink, drinking water is provided.
