This Big Bear cabin is the owner’s second home, so it has many special touches. On a chilly evening, you can curl up on the sofa wrapped in a hand crocheted afghan to watch the new 50" Plasma TV. This “home away from home” is a perfect setting to relax and unwind. Early American antiques dot the surroundings, giving it a warm and homey feeling. You can enjoy skiing in the winter, summer hiking in the mountains, lake fishing and horseback riding. There are many mountain bike races in the area. Come see why many previous guests have recommended this cabin to their friends.
This privately owned cabin is charming with all knotty pine interior walls, two bedrooms, one bath. Imagine relaxing on the front porch in the summer, watching the birds in the birdbath. Or you can make a snowman in the winter.
A warm fireplace provides the perfect setting for a cozy evening. There is a 50" Plasma TV in living room, a VCR/DVD player, and a music system. The antique school....

Perfect Stay
The cabin was perfect for our family vacation. It had everything you would want for a comfortable stay. When we arrived, the unit was very clean. The first impression of the interior was the fireplace and the wonderful big screen TV. We don't watch much TV as a family so the kids were happy with the end of the day treat to watch such a great picture.
The interior of the cabin is tastefully decorated with a mountain cabin theme. There are lots of interesting nick knacks and antiques.
This may sound like a strange observation but the windows were nice and new. They opened and closed easily which is great for us because we liked the fresh air.
I felt comfortable leaving the cabin during the day knowing that everything was secure and that there was an alarm system.
Phyllis the owner was very kind and quick to respond to all of my questions. She is a real gem.
If you go, please take good care of the cabin. We plan on returning and hope it stays the same as it is.

Great Weekend at a great cottage!
We stayed at Abigail's Cottage on the weekend of March 5, 2010. When we walked in, we felt right at home and really enjoyed all of the effort put into making Abigail's cottage a nice, clean and cozy home.
There was tons of snow and it was great going to a nice warm, homey place after spending all day in the snow! Thanks Phyllis....we will definitely be calling you in the future to stay again. We truly had a wonderful time at your beautiful cottage.

Great Cottage!
Great cabin! Very clean, well equipped. Big TV is so nice! Also, great location----everything you need is a close drive....restaurants, grocery store, sledding area, etc... Also, really liked the great communication by the owner. Answered all my questions quickly.
The only small complaint I had was that though the heater worked great in the living room and kitchen, the bedrooms were cold.
All in all, I would recommend this cabin to anyone and would definitely stay there again!

Perfect Christmas home
Loved it! Very warm, cozy and clean. After 7 years of spending Christmas in Big Bear, we now hope to continue a family tradition here at Abigail's Cottage. My kids now believe Abigail's is where Santa will bring their gifts!! :) More...
