Guest Reviews for Lovely 1BR steps from Trevi Fountain - Boccaccio

A quiet little haven in busy Rome
The unit was well appointed. Television was a bit dated and no cable. Everything was compact but useful and the air conditioning was appreciated. Great location. We were welcomed by Mr Vinod who gave us a very good explanation of the workings of the unit. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.
Cheers

Great apartment for the price of a hotel
We traveled through Europe for two weeks and wanted a place to do laundry
about half way through the trip.We chose this apartment because it had a
washer and it was within walking distance to everything in Rome.We could
put a load in and then take off walking instead of sitting in a laundramat. It
had a nice little kitchen.Although we didn't do any cooking, it was nice to
have a fridge and a place to make a pitcher of ice tea everyday. We had no
dryer but there was a drying rack and that worked out just fine. The
apartment was one of the few places that we stayed at in Europe that had
air conditioning so it was nice to walk around all day, come in and rest in
the air conditioning before going back out in the evening. The apartment
was just across the street from a nice little market so we could get our
supplies and not have to pack them around the city.I guess if I had to pick
one bad thing about the experience it would have to be that there were a
few ants in the kitchen when we got there. No big deal. We made our own
version of bug spray out of soap and got rid of the problem, then just kept
on enjoying the city. I can think of a few people that would have freaked
out or raised seven kinds of hell but that is not how we are. We made the
best of it and moved on.We traveled by train so I planned for months and
checked other travelers feedback about distance from train station to
hotels. This apartment was very close to a metro station which was very
easy to reach from the train. As far as service, we met a young man at the
apartment for checkin, gave him our money , and then did not see him
again. This is the difference between a hotel and an apartment. We new that
when we booked it. I feel that if we would have had a problem they would
have fixed it. I can truly recommend this apartment . More...

Great Location!
The apartment was updated and great for a couple. No cable, but who watches T.V. on vacation! We walked from Vatican City at night back to our apartment and the next day walked all the way to the Colloseum. Loved the location and area. We would stay again!

Excellent apt
This is my first time to Rome, total of 3 ppl. This apartment was in an excellent location and we were able to walk to all the major attractions of Ancient Rome. The neighborhood was very safe and there was surprisingly even an asian spa, which is hard to find in Rome, half a block away.
The bed fits two people comfortably and the third person slept on the large pull-out sofa. In terms of space, the apartment was not big but it was fine for 3 people and the price.
The apartment does not have internet access at all. We also had a problem with running out of hot water, which we soon realized was "very" typical in all the apartment rentals of the cities we visited - Rome, Barcelona, and Paris. The first person taking a shower would have lots of hot water but even after waiting an hour, the second person would have some hot water and then get lukewarm water. The third person, even after waiting an hour, would have cool water. So, it was a matter of conserving the hot water instead of letting it run during showering.
Also, the part of the bedroom wall that is shared with the living room wall has a space/gap. In other words, you can almost squeeze through the wall space from the bedroom to the living room. The bedroom does have a door you can close and lock, but there is no real privacy because of the wall space. Though, someone would need to intentionally peek through the space to see anything.
Despite the shortcomings of the apt, the location and neighborhood is great great great! More...
