Property Overview
This lovely apartment is located just off the "Termini" Railway station (air terminal of the Rome airports) and from the Metro lines A and B ( 2 stops to Trevi Fountain, 2 to Coliseum, 3 to Spanish Steps, 5 to Vatican Museums). The Termini Shopping center, just below the Railway Station, offers a wide variety of shops, boutiques, supermarkets as well as restaurants and cafes to choose from.
The owner has recently remodelled this apartment(2008) in order to make it as much comfortable as possible. In addition to this, the apartment is very quiet, bright and well furnished offering a warm, cozy atmosphere.
It features a large entrance where you will find a free broadband internet connection for your own compiuter. On the left side f the entrance, you will find the large, well equipped kitchen with a table for 6. Perfect place to stay
Good service, quick replies to any questions I had. The property was perfect for what we wanted, clean, tidy, internet, airconditioned, great location, yet quiet. After a busy day sight seeing there is a nice little restaurant just around the corner(turn right and right again and you are there).
Can't think of anything negative to say, we'll definately stay there again and recommend it to all our friends. Much better and cheaper alternative to staying in a hotel, esp if there are four of you/a family.
Perfect hide-out in Rome
Il Cattaneo is perfectly located when you want to get away from the noise and heat of Rome in July, in a more quiet area next to Terminus Station. The appartment is nicely decorated with airconditioning in every room but the kitchen.
The only downside is the lack of good restaurants in the area. Most of the restaurants are far too touristic. When we checked with our neighbour where to go for dinner he recommended Il Monti and THAT was a good choice. Lovely pure Italian food!

Excellent Stay
We are a family of 4 (two kids aged 22 and 18), we did a trip to Rome,
Florence, Venice & Switzerland and the Cattaneo was by far the most
memorable stay we had. The room was left sparkling clean by the house
helps and we felt welcomed instantly.
We stayed there for about 6 nights and the Cattaneo had really become our
home away from home for the duration. It was extremely convenient as it's
located right next to the termini station which houses all sorts of shops,
eateries and convenience stores.
No matter which part of Rome you wish to go to, Termini is your starting
point (we had some concerns about the safety factor in the area but had
absolutely no problem at all once we got there). All the buses and trains
leave from here. If you're planning on staying here for 3-4 days, the Roma
Pass is a great investment. Entitles you to unlimited travel on the public
transport system and even gets you into any 2 or 3 top tourist attractions
for free!
As for the house itself, it is well equipped and cozy n all things nice. Our
only grouse was the low shower pressure in both bathrooms. But other than
that this apartment was so perfect for the four of us that we almost didn't
feel like leaving at the end of our stay.
Non the less, we left the Cattaneo with fond memories of a time well spent.
We are sure to come back again someday! More...
