Less than expected

The place was advertised as a 1 bedroom condo with 2 queen beds. To me, saying one bedroom and saying loft are two different things. There was no actual bedroom with a door, just a slightly raised loft where the 1 queen bed was. The only other "bed" was a full, not a queen and was the sofa bed, which had a very thin piece of foam as a mattress.

The place was also pretty dirty with the internet, toilet paper roll holder, and garbage disposal broken when we arrived. We were able to fix the internet and the toilet paper roll holder ourselves and the leasing company was very responsive when I called. They sent someone to fix the disposal and clean the next day.

However, in terms of the space disappointment, the only remedy was coupons for Go Cars, which funnily enough didn't work right either. So, we went on the Go Cars with broken audio and got more coupons for Go Cars from that company:)

All in all for an extended stay rental, at 220 a night for a 10 day stay, I felt it was a bit overpriced.

Cheaper than a hotel (and much nicer)

Great experience renting from San Diego Urban Retreats. We used the condo as a landing point during our move to San Diego. It allowed us to have a month to find a longer term rental and saved us a considerable amount of money compared to a hotel. We were able to shop for groceries and cook our own food which made it that much more affordable.

The place was comfortable and well furnished. We had plenty of space and our necessities were covered. I feel like we discovered the secret way to go on a long vacation in a place like San Diego, stay in one of the best areas of the city, and spend way less than a normal vacation. More...

Comfortatable and Exquisite

I have to say, this place was perfect. The parking was easy. I was a little worried about entry, but the manager made it so convenient when I arrived after hours. This loft is so centrally located, and the vacation home itself is quite spacious, and modern. We were able to bring our bicycles, and hit the local breakfast spot called The Mission, which was phenomenal. We hit the bike trail and went up for miles along the beach. Still had time to conveniently walk to the shops, and and have dinner and cocktails, and not even have to bother with driving, or even cab! I would definately be returning to this vacation home when we return to San Diego, it was just the perfect getaway, and actually a really great deal! More...

Urban Retreat

My wife and I stayed here last year and had a great time. I was attending a business conference in the convention centre which is a short walk away and since I was busy most days, the apartment was a great alternative to a hotel room as we could come and go as we pleased. The apartment was modern, clean and well appointed and the other residents friendly. I would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arose. One slight downside was the noise from the bar in the same building at the weekend but only a minor problem. The apartment is right in the centre of the gaslamp district so extremely well placed for getting the most from this beautiful city. Public transport is also very easy to use and also quite pleasant. All things considered, I am very glad that we chose this style of accomodation over a traditional hotel. Compared very well proce wise as well. More...
