Kona Gold

I must say that I really enjoyed staying at the surf and raquet club. West Hawaii Properties have always found great properties for us to stay and they out did themselves again.
What I liked about this place was the incredible sunsets we had every night from our lani. There were some ferril cats that were out on the grounds and the boys had a name for everyone of them. They were cute and enjoyed our left overs from the huge 30lb Ono I had caught. Not too sure if our neighbors enjoyed the cats as much as we did but the 10lbs of fresh fish I gave them made up for all the meows they heard :)
The room conditions were excellent and the unit had all the utilites that we could ask for except for a pizza cutter. Being from NJ/NY pizza is very important to us. We managed with a knife but that was the only thing the condo did not have...Also, you're on a tropical island...if you leave food out the ants will come!
Being so close to down down was also a must. About 5 minutes away from downtown Kona. We were also right by a shopping center and Pharmacy/mini mall that was great for getting what ever we wanted. My suggestion to anyone visiting the Big Island is get a Safeway card. You will save hundreds on your grocery bill! Safeway and Wallmart are right next to each other off of Henry St/Rt 11. Shop there otherwise you'll find you will spend much more money than you want too...trust me on this...
The Big Island is very special to us and we look forward to coming back again this summer. You will not be disappointed if you rent any units here at the Surf and Raquet club on Ali Drive. This one in particular was fabulous. Enjoy as we have...Aloha! More...
