When we arrived at Colony Reef, the check-in was quick, efficient and friendly. The vacation home itself was awesome! It had all the comforts of home, which made our stay much more comfortable. The condo was very spacious and had all the amenities, but the bed was a double, when the description on the internet stated it was a queen. Had the description been correct, we would have rented another unit.

The bed was so uncomfortable neither I or my husband was able to sleep, and both of us woke up stiff and sore the next morning. I ended up sleeping on the hide-a-bed mattress on the floor. It was more comfortable.

We ended up leaving the night before checkout, rather than having to spend another sleepless night. More...

We loved this condo, nicely decorated and had a nice open airy feel with all of the windows. We were not able to see the ocean from our condo but we knew that and it was not a problem at all. The road to get on the beach is very near and I like to drive my car on the beach anyway so that I don't have to carry all of my stuff very far. The pool was a short walk and very convienient. I would absolutely stay here again! The price was very reasonable also which made my stay that much more enjoyable.

It was above and beyond what we expected. This is our second time at Colony Reef for the mother and kids memorial day outing and we once again enjoyed it tremoundsly! Our kids love staying here and the property offers everything and anything they need to have a safe, fun vacay without leaving the premises and spending a lot of money. 18A was a great condo and had more room than we actually used and the lake and tennis courts behind our sliding glass doors was wonderful.We had left behind a couple of appliances and of course opened the cabinet and there they were! The condo was immaculate when we arrived which was after hours and no trouble with the gate of getting in the condo. I love the gated condo for the safety features as well as the outside security we passed at night made us feel extra safe being just mommies and children.The indoor pool and spa was right next door and the kids as well as us two mothers enjoyed having it so close especially as it rained some and we still let the kids swim! I recommend Colony Reef with 5 stars for the money, the beach, the great condos and the closeness to downtown St. Augustine attractions. We will be back next year!!! PS one thing that would really make this even better if checkout time could be moved to 12:00 so we wouldn't be so rushed in the am to get all the kids and luggage and all the extra we purchase shopping loaded in the truck so early!!
