| The resort and cabin exceed our expectations. Everybody was really welcoming and helpful. The cabin had everything you need, was verry clean and confortable. The kids really enjoyed the pool with the water slide and playground. It was great and their is nothing we can think about that is negative. We highly recommend this cabin!!!! |

If you're looking to get away from it all to a quite, peaceful setting, this is it. What a beautiful place! Very nicely appointed for a rental, very clean.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a perfect get away with no complaints.
We really enjoyed the pool and the kids spent literally hours on the big slide :)
We'll be back for sure. With skiing and a tube run at the bottom of the hill it's a great time with family and friends.

Great Cabin |

Let me start out by saying that the cabin itself was beautiful. The view was fantastic and the cabin had all the amenities we could ask for. My wife and I stayed with our three children, aged 8 through 17. My 14 year old daughter also brought along a friend.
We all enjoyed the pool table and the hot tub.
We spent some time visiting Asheville and made some day trips to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Chimney Rock.
My only negative comment would be that the ride in was a little scary. We arrived around 6:00 PM and the office was closed. There was a check in folder with a map of the resort and a key. As luck would have it a thunderstorm that was producing some hail struck just as we were arriving. This unit was located at the end of a very steep gravel road and we were a little unnerved by the drive down there in our Toyota minivan. I was wishing I had rented an SUV.
The folks who were running the place were very nice. We had a small issue with regulating the master shower temperature and needed more towels and they responded to our request right away. |

We stayed in this wonderful house with several adults and 4 kids under the age of 3. There was plenty of safe space for them to run around.
The house was well equipped with everything we needed. We cooked nearly every meal for 7 days in the kitchen and never needed something that wasn't provided.
The hot tub on the lower deck was fantastic - the weather was cool, we sat in the hot tub taking in the amazing view of the mountains.
We used the pool only once - the hours were slightly inconvenient - it didn't open until 10 (which is pretty late in little kid land) and we would have liked to have taken the kids there after dinner, but it was already closed by 7. But the pool was great, and everyone had fun on the giant slide.

What a wonderful place to close your eyes and take in all the beauty that is North Carolina.
Or to open your eyes and hear the wind pass neath
the wings of a soaring hawk.
What a great place to sit on a deck and allow yourself to get lost in the song of Redbird (cardinal) or to watch the mockingbird imitate that same song.
Just go inside and let one of the sauna's
"I prefered the infrared" start to cleanse you to your inner self.
Breathe the mountain air and claim for yourself
a nights sleep that comes with the quietness of the
mountains.
The only bad thing I experienced at 109 Stillpoint
wat the fact thnat time passed much too fast. |
