I really like the set up at Frank's Modern Dream. The gas firepit in the back was very useful when the temperatures dropped at night. Location was also perfect for those who want to hang out in Old Town. The only thing missing in the huge backyard is a hot tub. The house appears very well put together, modern and well decorated. The actual function of the house and the details leave a lot to be desired. For example, the shower leaks, the ice maker on the fridge doesn't work and the garage door doesn't always close and goes up without warning so you have to be careful. The screen door on the pool casita just fell off the track. The pool isn't heated and is therefore worthless except for May - Oct.
Furthermore, the basics are not present in the bathroom including Kleenex, a soap dish or even garbage cans in all the bathrooms. I have rented homes for years and most have items that would be found in a typical hotel room including cotton balls and Q tips as well. The kitchen lacks a lot of useful items if you actually want to cook - it didn't even have a dish towel which I bought during our stay. There are absoluetely no spices which we also had to purchase and it seems like a great expense to buy them and throw them away after a week.

Overall, the house looks very cool and is a fun place to stay but it lacks all the details that make you want to come back.

The home was perfect for an intimate New Year's Eve vacation with friends! The home allowed for plenty of space to have your own area (if you wanted to get away) but had great common areas to come together to enjoy each others company. The only downside was that some of the bedding and outside table chairs were not clean. The bedding was quickly remedied by doing a load of clothes, but the chairs did stop us from eating outside.

This modern home is lovely and very well-furnished and appointed. There are two master suites and two smaller bedrooms that would be appropriate for children or younger couples. There is also a nice pool house with a fold out sofa.

The location (about 1.5 miles from Old Town and Fashion Square) is unbeatable. It's very close to the Arizona Canal which is great for running or walking on a dirt path off the street. The pool was lovely and there was plenty of seating and lounging available.

I would suggest that the owners consider adding more towels to the home. We had 6 people staying there for 5 nights, and it would have been nice to be able to use fresh towels mid-way through the visit.
