| I chose this particular cabin because of the large master bath. It was the nicest master bath I saw of the cabins available to rent. My husband and I were the only occupants so the master bed and bath were important to us. It worked out great. It was very quiet being on the lower level. I was glad there weren't as many steps to get down to the lower level as there was in cabin #221 (Happy Days) that we had stayed in on our previous visit. Cabin #221 is a wonderful cabin, but there are a lot of steps to get to the lowest level. We knew the main level accommodations would be fine, and they were. I personally got a kick out of all the fancy crystal light fixtures. There is a nice crystal chandelier over the dining room table and there are numerous crystal light fixtures in both the master bedroom and bath. I don't think it's pictured on the website, but there is a large walk-in closet off of the master bath. It made a wonderful dressing room. We did not use the tub in the master bath or the hot tub on the deck so I can't comment on those. We have stayed at Wolf Ridge a couple of times now so we are slowly learning some of the local restaurants in Mars Hill and Weaverville. We've eaten at El Dorado Latin Grill in Mars Hill a couple of times. We ate at Stoney Knob Cafe in Weaverville on this visit. It was very good. Both of these restaurants have a website if you want to check them out. My husband got to tackle the golf course again. It was still difficult but his score was better than the last time he played it so he was happy. One day we drove over to Cherokee to spend a few hours at Harrah's. Apparently you can go to dinner at Ghost Town In The Sky. So maybe we'll try that on another visit. We had great weather while we were there. The cooler temperatures felt great. The leaves were just starting to turn. As usual, the staff in the office was very helpful. I will definitely visit Wolf Ridge again and I can definitely recommend this cabin. |
