The Long & Foster staff were just incredible, their staff in the McHenry office were the nicest professional people I've had the pleasure to meet in a long time!
The home could have used a bigger kitchen but then again we either cooked outdoors or went out to eat the majority of our stay. We concurred that the property needed a burn pit similar to the adjoining properties that had them close to the shore line and we did enjoy one not so rainey evening (gotta have some bad weather along with the good) sitting in the upper living area just relaxing (nice stereo system)...overall we all enjoyed our stay and this was the second year of what will be an annual event, our short stay this year will hopefully be a longer stay next year! Thank you all again for making our stay, staff, accomidations and ammenities so very enjoyable!

We rented Woodhaven for a weekend in Aug. The house is very nice, in a great location on a really nice lot. Probably the only thing we wished for was air conditioning, but other than that, all was fine. Very clean. My only complaint is with renting for a weekend. When you rent for a weekend, you need to be able to get in the house earlier than 4:00pm on Saturday, when half of one of your two-day vacation is practically over. I know that makes it difficult to get it cleaned, but for the cost of a weekend, you really need a whole day on Saturday.

After calling to add an additional day stay to our already reserved visit to begin Sept. 3 I added Sept. 2 nd. When we arrived on the second the reservation was not in your system to begin the second it had been changed to begin on the 5th.....how does such a mistake happen. lucky for us Melissa was helpful in getting us the code for the house after a wait of 2 hours.
My reservation I received in the mail was confirmed for the 3rd.
I was surprised to see when I arrived home another confirmation for a stay beginning the 5th- 10th.
Too much confusion on bookings end.

We loved our vacation. The yard and location of the house was great!! The top two floors were nice/functional. The walk-out lower level was not useable. The smell ( musty) was prevelent all week. We even tried to air it out and that did not work. Dispite that we did enjoy the view, yard and the location of the home. More...
