Guest Reviews for Summer House

All the comforts of home
This was a clean, comfortable and well stocked rental. My son liked the ping pong table in the basement. It was hard to fold laundry at the dryer because of the sand and grit that blew in, and it would have been more convinent to have the laundry facilities one the main level, but it wasn't that big a deal. There was a nice enclosed outdoor shower that I liked. I liked the layout of the living space and there was some degree of privacy that not all the properties have. I would definitely consider staying there again. The distance to the bridge and southport was also longer than staying at east Beach, but once the new bridge is done, that won't be such an issue. family vacation
I find this beach house to be very comfortable for a family. We own a home at 115 W. Beach, and rented Summerhouse during a family reunion/vacation as overflow. We knew the Brewers, the original owners, so we were somewhat familiar with the house.
I think the decor is just what a beach house should be. We appreciated all the electronics and high quality kitchen appliances, also the wireless internet.
The downstairs is a great get-away for the teens and pre-teens.
We'll be renting again this July for the same purpose.
The only complaint about the house was the amount of area for watching t.v. in the living room. Okay for a few adults and a few children, but not too roomy for very many adults.

The Beach 2008
If I remember correctly there were some difficulties with the cable and the heat when we arrived. The folks from Margaret Rudd & Associates were right on it and everything was resolved as soon as possible. We have been staying at this house for years because it is the best we have found in the neighborhood for our needs. The house is certainly showing its age but I believe the owners are working on this. New windows would be a plus. We love that the downstairs in enclosed. Often the weather is bad when we are here and downstairs lets us put some space between the kids and ourselves. More...
