| I was not going to review this home but received an email invitation to do so from Palmetto rental, so I will. Hopefully, this home has been cleaned up and painted since we were there. We only stayed because we had no other choice. The home was not being maintained when we were there. It's a large beautiful house, but the walls were all beaten up, the carpet terribly soiled, and the sofas were covered in stains (we covered one of them with a sheet so we could sit on it. Sorry, but this is the truth. We called to have someone come clean the bathrooms as they were filthy and were told by Palmetto representatives that the homes could be in pretty bad shape by the end of the season. Therefore, we would never stay in this home again, nor would we rent through Palmetto. |

| We are very sorry that we didn't meet your expectations during your stay at Pointe Marsh. This house is one of our best sellers. With that being said we knew there was work that had to be done and was scheduled during the stay. This was a last minute reservation and work scheduled was put-off until the renter left. We have deep cleaned, painted and repaired the house since the renter has stayed.Please accept our apology and accep a 10% discount on your next stay with us. I'm sure you will be pleased. |

The PROS: This house is BIG and BEAUTIFUL! We comfortably slept four families, a total of 17 people (10 adults and 7 kids). Even when everyone was in the house at the same time, there was still plenty of elbow room. The kitchen was more than well equipped, even better than my own kitchen. Having a laundry room in the house was a definite plus. All of the appliances and electronic equipment were in good working order. The elevator always worked. The balconies were nice. The mini-golf course across the street was entertaining for the kids. The area, even though well-populated, was surprisingly quiet. And the people from Palmetto Vacation Rentals were always very nice to deal with.
The CONS: The directions to the house could have been better, since the address won't come up on GPS. The pool was so small that no one bothered to get in it; plus it's situated as such that it's always in the shade. The parking is enough for four vehicles, but two vehicles were always blocked-in, and there isn't really any other place to park along the street. The walk to the beach was a bit farther than I expected. And lastly, the house wasn't filthy (well, maybe the carpet was), but it could have been a little cleaner.
All-in-all, I (and the other people who stayed in the house) would stay there again in a heartbeat, provided the price stayed reasonable. |

| I received excellent service from Palmetto. Whoever I spoke with was very pleaseure and knowledgeable. I always receive what inforomation needed. The homes were clean and items needed were supplied. Did not enjoy the pools but homes were close to beaches. The location was close to stores and resterants. What I like best about the homes were the locations. What I like the least was the pools. All of the furniture was great. We had a very enjouable time and will be very glad to rent in the future. |

We spent a week at Pointe Marsh 2310. This was our first visit to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The home was dirty when we arrived. The kitchen had so many ants, we could not keep food on the counter. We saw at least five palmetto bugs each night throughout the week.
The pictures of the pool on the website are very misleading. The pool is under the house, blocked from the sunlight. It is very small, clearly not meant for 8 adults and 4 children. The grill that is advertised was rusty and not in working condition. We ended up buying our own.

| Thank you for your response. Again we aplogize for the ants in the kitchen. As you know this unit is on a marsh and in the middle of the hot summer it could attract bugs. Additionally food by renters were left out which of course by itself would attract ants. To remedy the situation we did spray for ants immediately after your complaint and hopefully to your satisfaction. The Palmetto bugs which you mentioned fly so thay are hard to control.Pointe Marsh is one of our most popular units and I am sure will continue to rent well.Hopefully we can find you a more suitable place for your next visit. |
