I did extensive internet comparisons of Mexico Beach properties and found this one. The pictures were enticing as was the mention of the beach right out the back door. Needless to say, when I arrived I was pleasantly surprised. The house was more than what I expected. It was beautifully decorated, situated right on the beach as advertised and very clean. The area was very quiet and sunset views beautiful. The weather was very cool the week I was there but being from Wisconsin I easily adjusted and still walked the beaches and visited the area businesses. Crooked Island is an awesome, secluded beach where you can walk for miles. The deck was a little worn, as were the cushions for the deck chairs that the feral cats slept on (the cats were being fed under the deck). The only other minor disappointment is that there were several burned out lightbulbs in the house, but once you figured that out, you just adjusted where you sat. Over all, I was very happy with Forgotten Coast Property Managements' help, the cleanliness of the house, the beach front location and the house over all. I would definitely consider staying there again should I ever go back to Mexico Beach. More...

The house is fantastic -- adorably decorated with a
wonderful layout. The location is unbeatable the
beach is beautiful and the house makes it easy to
come and go to the water as often as you'd like. The
sunsets of the deck are stunning!
We loved our stay (even though the weather was a bit
chilly) The only area for improvement was the carpet
- getting a bit frayed and worn but no biggie for us.

Our experience was our first trip here and was wonderful !! We really liked this house. We plan to come back again....we will either stay at Eubanks Escape or we will pick a larger location if we have more family come.

First the good stuff. The house is beautifully situated on a lovely quiet beach and part of a nice low key Florida community. The large, cool property is very nicely furnished and the kitchen is well appointed with all the tools & utensils needed for some serious cooking.

However, for being in the upper end of the market we had some niggling complaints that we felt detracted from the home. The screen doors which are the only access to the wonderful balconies were heavily corroded and some of our party had extreme difficulty opening and closing them (an unsuccessful repair was attempted on site). We also felt that for the quality of house and price, that the master bedroom could have been improved. The bed was small and uncomfortable with the cheapest linens. Interestingly, the other bedrooms were much better appointed. The electrical systems in the house seem to be have installed by a comedian, expect to spend the first few days trying to find light switches!

Finally the deck area was heavily weathered with peeling paint and the outdoor table had been used by children for finger painting and was covered in old paint. Also, the outdoor dining chairs were $5 Big Lots plastic types, fine for the beach but uncomfortable for dining.

In perspective, we had a very successful vacation and would happily return. We just felt that this level of property deserved a little more attention to detail. More...
