My husband,, daughter, son in law and grandson spent Christmas week
at The Retreat.The accomadations were great and were just a
advertised. We have been spending Christmas in Ashevile tto visit my
son and 4 grandchildren. I wish we had known about the villas
sooner.We had two roof leaks while there (one on Christmas Day) your
staff was very kind and considerate and addressed the problem as best
they could. Coming from Maine my\ only complaint was -you need
plowing lessons!! We were so happy with our stay that we would like to
return this year for Christmas. Can we reserve now?

This rental property is beautiful. The lovely furnishings and decorative touches made us feel like we were in someone's well-appointed home. There was plenty of room for four of us (two adult couples). The location is a short walk to shopping and some truly outstanding restaurants. We could not have chosen a better location for our first visit to Asheville.

However, some important details were overlooked or not considered at all. Several light bulbs were out when we arrived. After a phone call to Greybeard Realty, some, but not all of the bulbs were replaced. There was no heat at all in the downstairs powder room, and the lack of adequate heat in the master bedroom had to be remedied with a space heater.

In the guest bedroom, although not absolutely necessary, it would have been nice to have a TV.

In the dining area we felt the overhead lighting was inadequate and in the kitchen, little things were missing: no coffee measure, too few knives, etc.

None of these shortcomings was a deal-breaker, but taken as a whole it seemed that the thought and care put into decorating the unit did not match the effort put into the "finishing touches." More...

We loved working with Graybeard. Everyone we talked to was perfect! I would rent again with Graybeard. The house was gorgeous and in the most perfect location! There were a few issues I mentioned in the paperwork I sent in. The house was quiet, clean and very big which worked for us as we were with another couple.

This was our second trip to the BVV's and we love them! What a great, well prices, place to stay when visiting Asheville! I have recommended BVV's to several friend that were heading to the area. We stayed in The Cottage the 1st time and both condos are very nice. The retreat had a major mold issue in the 1/2 bath downstairs but other than the smell from that the condo was great. Thanks Greybeard, everyone that I worked with while booking the units was great!

We spent an amazing early fall weekend in Asheville...and the accommodations
were definitely the cherry on top. The Retreat is one of the nicest rental homes
we've ever stayed in...so nice, we've already recommended it to multiple family
members and friends. Not to mention the folks at GreyBeard Realty were a
dream to work with and made the rental process so unbelievably easy! Can't
wait to book our next vacation in Asheville!
