Our suite was awesome and the town was beautiful.
We thank you Keith and Jim for your hospitality and we will be back again in the not too distance future.

I moved back to the US from Italy and chose Galloway House for my first month here. It was the perfect place for that, to visit Savannah, to get my bearings, and to ease back into this country.
The loft was spotless, comfortably furnished, well-outfitted and welcoming. The few things I did need (wine glasses, another bowl) were provided quickly. I cook in vacation rentals and the appliances are full-sized and in good order (new).
The garden is lush and cool; the perfect way to spend a sultry Savannah evening.
If you have a dogs, there is a park across the street and an empty lot right outside the gate.
We needed to stay a few more days and Jim and Keith were quite accomodating. I now consider them to be friends. Yes, accomodating is the right word for the entire place. Go and enjoy.

My wife and I came from Scotland on a touring holiday part of our time was spent with Keith & Jim at the Galloway House. We had a most wonderful time. We were made so welcome Keith had even gone to the bother of buying a Scottish flag and flew it outside the house for the length of our stay.
The house itself is beautiful, we had a wonderful room with an excellent bed, most important, and lots of tea & coffee, for us the location was perfect we parked the car and walked all the time.
I hope we go back to this part of the world if we do we will most certainly stay with Keith & Jim. |

The beautiful first-floor apartment was well-appointed, clean, and restful. It
was also very near the historic district, offering a short trip to every
destination. The owners were attentive and respectful, offering these out-of-
town guests the best of Savannah at an affordable price.
We sincerely enjoyed the courteous service, lodging, and gardens. Look

A sumptuous abode, exquisitely furnished with all the amenities you could ask for including a fully stocked kitchen, breakfast items in the refrigerator and a nice welcome bottle of wine. The property was conveniently located to the sightseeing nexus as well as groceries, restaurants, squares and public transportation. |

My daughter and I stayed at the Galloway House for two nights on a quick visit to Savannah and were thoroughly enchanted with our lodgings. We stayed upstairs in the coach house - it was perfect for the two of us and the rates are very reasonable compared to other B&Bs in the historic district. The Galloway House is on the fringe of the historic district, easily accessible from the highway and only 20 minutes or so from Tybee Island.
Terrific facilities and the garden is a lovely place to sit and enjoy or have a little BBQ. We came from Calgary, Alberta, Canada and Keith was so helpful in making our long distance arrangements. Hosts Keith and Jim are extremely hospitable and a great resource for local recommendations. Would definitely go there again - would love to stay in the main house next time - it's incredible. |

We wanted a tastefully furnished efficiency apartment where we could stay with our dog. The Galloway House was perfect. Keith and Jim were welcoming and easy going hosts. They were able to provide us with great recommendations including the restaurant well worth splurging on nearby (on 37th st?).
We rented the downstairs apt. behind the house. It was really nicely furnished with all the necessities and helpful books... and no unnecessary chatzkes.
They have three great danes... very friendly but a little intimidating. You should have seen our schnoodle turn on his heels! It was pretty funny.
They are a little of a hike or a short drive to the center of town... but we liked being a little out of the way. It was a pretty neighborhood with plenty of parking.
We highly recommend the Galloway House and will definitely stop there again next time we have to drive to Florida. |

My husband & I stayed in the loft (top floor apt.) for about 4 days. The weather was great & the temperature of the loft was even better. It was a nice flat short walk to downtown. It was in a safe area & the amenities were convenient. The yard was also beautiful. I can't complain about much at all except for all the stairs to climb to the top & having to dodge dog poo on the walkway around back. The owners were very knowledgeable about the area & helpful. They also provided a book of the area for great restaurants & activities. I would recommend the Galloway House to anyone. :)

They provide a good selection of tour books and maps to help plan your day. The owners were super friendly, but not in your face. We would definately stay there again. I can't think of any negatives, other than being a short distance from the downtown...something that we preferred. |

Savannah is a great place to visit, but the key is having the proper
accommodations.... The Galloway House is the ONLY place to stay in Savannah,
we highly recommend it! Jim, Keith and their dogs were great hosts. They
fulfilled our needs and were there if we needed something, yet we had the
privacy of our own home in the apartment... EVEN OUR OWN FRONT PORCH!
The details in our apartment surpassed our expectations and our memories in
the Galloway House ended up being a large part of our Savannah experience.
We will continue to stay with Jim and Keith on our future getaways to
Savannah, again we highly recommend The Galloway House... definitely

An Amazing Weekend |

| My partner and I stayed at the Galloway House for our first anniversary; we reserved the 2nd floor Carriage House for a long relaxing extended weekend. The overall home is absolutely beautiful. The backyard offers a wonderful garden and a sitting area. We enjoyed the mornings here drinking our coffee. The 2nd floor Carriage House was amazing. The place offers a cozy sitting area, a fully equipped galley kitchen, and who could forget the bed. I don't remember if it was a king or a queen but it was so comfortable that you won't ever want to leave, but you have to see the sights. It is very nice having the kitchen. Being able to have coffee and a bagel or a muffin which is provided by the Galloway House saves time and money. Furthermore if you don't feel like going out to eat or if you are on a budget stay home a cook a meal and then go out and see the sights........you will save big bucks. The Galloway House is located in a quiet area. Put on your walking shoes b/c it is about a mile I am guessing up to the RiverWalk but it is worth the walk b/c you get to experience the city, see the old buildings, and are able to take many pictures. And if you get tired there are plenty of benches to sit and relax at. And the walk up there is safe even at night so don't hesitate! We enjoyed the railroad and maritime museums as well as the RiverWalk itself. There was just so much too see and not enough time. Tybee Island is also a short drive away and worth the trip. Pack a cooler and follow Keith's advice depending on the time of year and leave when he tells you, we saved ourselves 90 minutes in traffic! The apartment also had a notebook of recommended restaurants, pamphlets, and everything else to make informed decisions about what to see, do, and eat. I would highly recommend staying here. The apartment was spotless and provided so many amenities for the price. Keith and Jim were wonderful hosts and the Great Danes are adorable!! |

| We were in Savannah for our daughter's graduation from SCAD with my mother-in-law, husband, oldest daughter and our graduate's boyfriend's parents. The home is spacious enough to give us all a place to gather together and cozy enough to give us privacy when needed. Keith and Jim are very gracious hosts, we all appreciated the breakfast bagels and the chilled wine in the refrigerator. The home is beautifully decorated inside and out, and it was fun for us to sit in the large covered front porch and accept compliments from passersby on the house. The location is great, just a couple blocks from Forsyth Park, and within walking distance from some great restaurants. This was our fourteenth trip to Savannah and by far the most memorable place we've stayed. |

Service is perfect. When you arrive you have nice high quality linens and a variety of breakfast foods. We had enough for our entire stay so you could grab a snack whenever you felt like it. Keith and Jim are always a phone call away. There is soap, linens, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, fully stocked kitchen (pots, pans, glassware, etc)
The home is newly renovated and very clean. The garden is really nice and you can sit outside and enjoy coffee or a drink in the evenings. There is wireless internet.
Savannah is an interesting place. Walking is a must. The Galloway House is a little further from the river than some might like. Walking from the river at dark would be pressing your luck somewhat. The pedicabs don't usually go down so far from River Street, but if you tip well some of the guys will do it. Forsyth Park is within walking distance. There are many good restaurants within walking distance and the street is really quiet. I felt safe at this location.
My favorite things about the Galloway house are the cleanliness of our place and the hosts Keith, Jim and their dogs. This is truly a pet friendly establishment. They welcome your pets like family and to me that is very important.
I plan to stay there again. Prices were very reasonable. |

Everything you need is there, no worries. AND we did our laundry on our last night while making dinner and talking talking talking, packed, watched a movie and relaxed. This made for a nice homecoming since all I had to do was unpack my suitcase in to my dresser and I was done!
