Vacation Rental Description
This is a lovely sunny apartment situated in a quiet courtyard just off the Royal Mile. The location is ideal for visiting Castle, Palace of Holyrood and Princes Street as all are within walking distance.
The apartment is comfortably furnished and well equipped with dishwasher to hair dryer, to make you feel at home away from home. Crisp cotton sheets, ample supply of soft towels and a welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, etc and some toiletries so that you can relax when you arrive.
The courtyard has much charm and character. It's is featured in the Patrick Geddes trail, and Secret Gardens of the Royal Mile as we have a small herb garden within the courtyard where you can sit and drink tea outside.
The area has many excellent restaurants, interesting shops and open top tour buses stop just outside the courtyard on the Royal Mile.
Waverley Station, the main train station in Edinburgh is a 5 minute walk as is the drop off point for the airport express bus though the local bus to the airport also stops outside the courtyard.
This is a wonderful place to stay as there is so much to see and do.

| the purpose of my visit to edinburgh was a re-union of some of my best friends. we had looked around at hotels, however I came across the website for this property on www.greatbase.co.uk. it looked really nice and was very reasonably priced compared with the hotels in the are. from the intial enquiry through to our departure I cannot fault our experience one little bit. Katie was a gem to deal with, she replied to all my emails immediately and was very pleasant to deal with. She reassured me when I could not find any reviews of the property online by sending me a copy of her guestbook. We were greeted by Katie on arrival. The property was very nicely decorated and immaculately clean, meeting all my expectations. Katie gave us some advise on where to eat out etc. She was good enough to leave out fresh flowers which i thought was a beautiful touch and the kitchen had all the basic supplies you could need for a self catering holiday. The property itself is very very central to all the sights, surrounded by plenty of cafes, restaurants, pubs. Its a leisurely walk to Princes St. All in all our experience was an excellent one. Can't fault it at all. I have recommended it to friends and family and will definitely be back for a return visit. Thanks to Katie she made it all a real pleasure. |
