This 2/3 person, impeccably restored, one bedroom apartment is comfortable, attractive and convenient - one of our favourites for sure! The location is top notch - just steps from the neighborhood shops, cafés and restaurants on Lexington Avenue and only one block from fashionable Park Avenue. The closest subway station is two blocks away at 28th and Park Avenue and can take you to Grand Central 42nd St in 5 minutes, downtown to Union Square in 5 minutes, or to the Upper East Side in 10 minutes. There is also a bus stop 2 blocks away that can take you up or downtown via Madison Avenue.

The apartment is located on the first floor of a recently renovated, turn of the century, historic brick townhouse. It sleeps 2 to 3 in one double bedroom and a sofa-bed that pulls out to a single. This lovely apartment really feels more like a home than a city rental - it boasts a private entrance as well as coded keys for added security.

The roomy open-plan living and kitchen area (15f...t9 x 12ft6, 4.8m x 3.8m) is discerningly decorated with classic, high quality pieces and immaculate attention to detail. This inviting space has hardwood floors, a leather loveseat (that pulls out to a single bed), an antique chest of drawers and a carved wooden table with 4 chairs which can be used as a workspace or for dining. The sofa is at the front of the apartment, framed by two windows which have a great view of the street and which can be closed with blinds for total privacy. Across the room, on the right wall, is a 27" flat screen television atop a handsome wooden cabinet.

This apartment has cable television channels as well as high speed, wi-fi access internet. There is no phone service in this property.

Against the left wall, in front of the kitchen area, is the dining area - pleasingly lit by a small chandelier which hangs directly above the table and chairs.

The newly renovated kitchen in the back left corner of room is a treat for the eyes - and for any cook as well! It has custom made wooden cabinets, polished marble backsplashes and granite countertops with an inset, flat ceramic, range/hob and all new, modern appliances including a stainless steel fridge/freezer and a dishwasher.

Behind the living room, hidden at the back of the apartment, you'll find the quiet bedroom (10ft9 x 7ft6,3.3m x 2.3m). Safe from street noise, it's completely private with no outside noise pollution at all - country silence in the middle of the city!

This room is also furnished in a pleasing, classic style with elegant bedding on the double bed (75"x54"), an antique nightstand topped with a stained glass reading lamp, an antique armoire for storage and a large, wooden-framed mirror above the bed.

This room, and each room in this apartment, has individual temperature control.

Next to the bedroom, the marble-tiled bathroom has an attractive black marble and carved wood vanity unit with the washbasin, a loo and a glass-enclosed, oversized stand-up shower with overhead showerhead and built-in body spray - your own spa!
