The house itself is cute, HOWEVER....for some reason, there were holes in the floor...in terrazzo floors !! The funiture was in much need of cleaning. I solved the problem by throwing sheets over the furniture. I needed to have a repairman in..for 4 straight days.Windows needed repair and there was water leaks in the bathroom. Then the driveway was torn up because of a water leak making parking a little bit of a problem. If the weather had been warm, I don't think I would have used the pool...it was in need of a good cleaning.
The house had enough linens and enough equipment for the kitchen. It was the overall appearance of the house that needed work,...a lot of work. I tried to wash the floors, but it wasn't soil...it was just plain wear and tear that made the floors look dirty. Some of the windows worked and some did not. AND THE GRILL !!!!! It turned your stomach just to lift the cover............if the owners can't or won't clean it, then the least they could do is get rid of it. Sorry to say....it wasn't the most pleasant home to be staying in. I have rented from Island Rental in the past and had far more success...When I questioned this rental, I was told it was one of the lower rentals becasue it was "pet friendly". I didn't ask to rent a "dump". In fact, I left 2 days earlier than I had to....I just wanted to get out. Frankly, I feel some sort of compensation should be in order.

| My husband and I took our kids and dog to the house, and we had a great time. There was no carpet, so a quick mop took care of any pet accidents. The pool is larger than I expected, but the floor was a little rough in the shallow end. The house was a great deal for the price, but there were a few minor inconveniences. The master bedroom door did not lock, so there was no privacy from the kids. The kitchen had all the pots, pans, and utensils we needed to cook, and the bbq grill is enormous. It is a short walk (about 2 blocks) to the beach, short enough for a quick walk over to catch the sunset in the evenings. I would recommend staying here if you have children or pets (although, pets are not allowed on the nearest beach). We had a great time, and hope to go back next year. |

| We stayed at this rental during Hurricane Fay. We almost had to evacuate but we great joy we were delighted to a 10 day dream trip. We had great weather ever day except one but we were on the road that day and it was dry and sunday there also. Our accomondations were great. We had everything we wanted or neeeded in a rental property. The house was spacious and clean. There was plenty of sheets and towles and things, also everything but the food. This house came with a pool and it had all kind of pool floats and such. We had brought our own beach chairs but there were a couple there. The real estate people were very nice and very helpful when ask about certain things. I also liked the fact that they gave a list of loacl restaurants, shops, video stores, grocery stores etc. Made it great to find things and know where to eat or shop.I would stay here again. |

| The house was what we expected. It was small but had a pool that was enclosed. Very old Florida with terrazo floors and very basic interior. However the price was excellent at 800 a week. A very good value for the area. A few blocks to a great beach. Great for a couple wanting to leave kids with grandparents. |

| We spent one week on beautiful Anna Maria Island and enjoyed our stay very much The house was okay, a bit outdated maybe and no-frills. In our opinion, some of the furniture needs to be replaced but the pool area was a great thing to have and the proximity to the gorgeous beaches was another advantage. At one point the A/C stopped working but the people from Island Real Estate sent someone to fix it immediately. |

| This property was in a great position and has the potential to be a lovely holiday home but badly needs redecoration, refurbishment and making more welcoming. The dining room chairs were unsafe to use, the lounge floor had a row of holes in it and the floor throughout was badly stained. The pool area needed thoroughly cleaning. The lanai was filthy. Having said all this, we would rent it again as the position was excellent. |

A great place to recharge from a busy life. It is a clean house, without clutter and a lovely yard. My husband and our little Itlalian Greyhound had a blast! We live in Tampa and normally would leave the country for vacation, but with gas prices getting out of hand, Homes Beach did the trick. I highly recommed the house and will be there again next year.
BTW, the 1st week in June was not that hot! |

Anna Maria Island is a great place to relax and unwind. This was our 3rd visit to the island, and our 3rd most enjoyable. This property is located just a short walk from the beach and had all the essentials for a great vacation.
However, the property and some of the amenities could use some work. The pool was nice, but needed to be painted, and the BBQ pit was broken. One of the lights on the patio would not work, and there were several minor repairs and updates inside that would have made the place more comfortable.
I thought that the BBQ pit needed propane in order to work, but found out that it was the pit itself was broken. I went to the rental agency to be reimbursed for the propane, and was told that it was my responsibility to pay for BBQ 'consumables'.
Also, fees and taxes added about 40% to the rental price.
Perhaps some of their other properties may not have these issues, but I would stay away from this one. |

the location was superb, short walk to an amazing beach which was clean and sea so warm.
The property was clean but basic, in need of some remodelling. The pool was fantastic.
Hope to return soon.
