Just a flip flop walk to the unspoiled Anna Maria Island beaches. More specifically, less than 100 steps to beach access that may seem more like your own beach access based on both location to the Cabana as well as lack of use by the public. The access is just across the street from the cottage so flip flops are optional for your walks to the beach! Limited Gulf views from the private patio beach seats that seat 4. A more private setting is behind the property on your private patio that seats 4 and is just off the kitchen making for outdoor dining to be a snap. If cooking is not your style take a 10 minute stroll along the beach and listen to Jimmy buffet live music while eating breakfast, lunch, or dinner at Cafe on the Beach.

Basic No Frills |

We spent a month there. Property is small & basic; no frills. It fulfills the basics.
Location is great...30 second walk to beach. Food-shopping and restaurants nearby.
Utensils&cookware (pots n pans)need upgrading and replacement. Appliances OK. Unit clean upon arrival. Unit has glass sliding door in dinette/living rm with no window dressing for privacy. Bed is nice tempurpedic. Towels and bedding adequate. Island Realty very responsive to minor problems. No DVD player...vcr only. AC worked very well & plenty of hot water. Sounds from upstairs unit (footsteps) and next door unit (voices). Pull out couch is a rough sleep according to a guest we had, but aren't they all? Rental fee on the high side for what it is. We have a different place rented for next year. |

| The place was cute location great,but there where issues when we arrived. First the place was full of dead cockroaches!! Not just one or two. The bathtub was dirty and the sheets hadn't been changed!!!I do think if you are renting something at a premium price you should at least have it clean!!!If it has not been rented in awhile at least go over and sweep the place out and make sure everything is in order.Isn't that why we can't get in until 3:00? |
