We stayed at the Emerald Star Cottage for a week over our anniversary in November. What a great place - so many beautiful views and the weather was warm, so we were in the pool everyday!!

Love the location - near shopping, restaurants and yet it feels private!

We can't say enough about the staff at Emerald Isle Realty - great responsiveness, so, so pleasant and customer-focused. They made our stay so enjoyable just by their quickly addressing all that we asked.

There's really nothing major that we'd change about the service, home or anything else.

This cottage was just what my family needed. We had toddlers with us and the closeness of the beach was great. Even though we had a cold snap and rain, we were happy to be inside or on the deck. We especially liked the sandy area by the pool so the little ones could get in out of the wind and still enjoy the feel of the beach. The kitchen was well-stocked with spices, dishware and cooking utensils (especially liked the crock pot being there)and the washer and dryer were first-class. We checked in and out quickly at Emerald Isle Realty. The home - right on the beach - was enjoyed by all the family! We swam in the pool, played on the beach, boogie-boarded in the ocean, and enjoyed the games, books, cards, and other amenities in the home. The home was well-equipped with any necessary items or amenities. Although it's difficult to choose, I think we liked best the private swimming pool to play in as an alternative to the beach. We liked the beach decor of the home (inside and out), as well. What we liked least were the unclean kitchen items (pots, pans, silverware) that the previous tenants had put away without washing them well. This was our second year to rent this home, and we had a great time both years. It accomodates a family get-together very well with plenty of linens and other necessary items for a pleasant stay.
