Peaceful enjoyment for the whole famliy |

| Overall my family and I enjoyed our stay at this vacation home. The home is nice and big and had plenty of room for my family of 4. We didn't even use the one downstairs bedroom that had the twin beds. A very safe house as there were smoke and CO2 alarms installed everywhere. All of the rooms were very clean including linens. The kids liked the huge loft area where they had their own TV and PS2. The foosball table was missing parts so it didn't get played with. The kitchen area didn't have any real counter space but we made do. There was enough pots and pans to cook all of our meals and lots of dishes and cups. The view from the decks are great. Walking distance to the zoo and hiking areas. What we liked best was how guiet it was even during the day. The only "complaint" I would mention is that the jacuzzi was pretty gross and took 2 full days to clear up all of the brown foam that would form when turned on. I didn't go in but my children did after it looked clear enough. The jacuzzi was one of the reasons I rented the home in the first place. Other that that I would reccomend this home to anyone I know. We would stay there again next time we visit. |

| We enjoyed our stay at Air Chalet. The house was bright due to all the windows which we all enjoyed. I just thought the housekeeping was very poor which made us feel uncomfortable and there seems to be a serious issue with bugs found dead bees in the shower. |

| We do have a 24 hour line for any problems you may experience. Please feel free to call if you require additional housekeeping. Being next to National Forest, you will experience bees and insects as well as dust. |

Termites |

| Well the cabin was nice, until we got into the bed the first night with tons of termites. Both downstairs rooms were filled with termites. Housekeeping came by and gave us some bug spray which did not help but luckily the upstairs loft didn't have any. It really sucked because I really loved this cabin it just put a big damper in our trip. So if your planning on using all Three rooms you might want to ask if they sprayed for termites. Otherwise the hot tub was amazing and it wasn't to far from the village. It was beautiful. They should give a discount though. |

| We had the house3 checked andthere are not any termites. Being that close to the national forest, there are bugs that are active in the heat of the summer. Has been handled |

| The location was great, right down the road from the zoo (the main reason we picked it). Also, it is 2 stories and has a foosball table, you can't beat that. :-) Just a nice little getaway. We went on a nice, long hike and it was a great way to spend a couple hours. |

Very nice cabin, great for big groups. Comes complete with kitchen
appliances and plenty of blankets Although i found it a bit outdated it
was worth the price. It was a short walt to the lifts which was a major
bonus! I think next time i would like to check out another cabin just to
try something different. |

Over-rated |

| An over-rated, over-priced disappointment is my best description for Air Chalet cabin. This home is listed as a 4-star property (I think 5 is their best rating), and definitely priced as such... (I'd hate to experience a 2 or 3 star property from this company). Upon our arrival we moved into a bedroom with carpeting soaked from the rooftop snow melt, running down inside the wall and across the floor. The next day the polite maintenance man apologetically explained there was nothing he could do... we just had to suck it up for our 4 days of wet feet in a bedroom with no piped-in heat, two built-in wall heaters that didn't work, and two portable room heaters that faithfully blew circuit breakers whenever we mistakenly turned both on at the same time. Aside from the soggy bedroom, the water faucet handle in the one-and-only bathroom that kept falling off, and the spare mattress in the loft that was disgustingly stained with God-only-knows-what (while the brand new mattress was safely locked away under the house), the accommodations were tight and cozy (o.k., I'm being polite now) for a party of seven. On the outside, the 30% sloped driveway, complete with 2" ice pack that caused our car to go sledding on it's own into a frozen snow bank one evening (causing damage to the rear bumper), with no shovel to be found anywhere to prevent such a mishap, and the chemically -laden hot tub were, by now, par for the course. Don't tell anyone, but we drained the hot tub and refilled it with real water so we could use it when the temperature came back up to normal... twenty four hours later. Anyway, you get the point. P.S. - Did I mention that Big Bear Lake and Village are absolutely beautiful this time of year, with all the snow? Next time I'm bringing my tent. |

| Roof and ice issues were a result of The largest snow storm Big Bear has seen in 35 years. With an occupancy of 8 there is at least 1600 sq ft. to enjoy. All of our properties are heated outside of a fireplace. Centrally heated properties are avialabel and are marked on the information page about them. |

AIR CHALETT #788
WE COME UP EVERY YEAR FOR CHRISTMAS AND TRY A NEW PLACE EACH TIME. I THINK THAT THEY SHOULD HAVE A BETTER CLEANING SERVICE, PEOPLE AHEAD OF US DID NOT CLEAN THEIR DISHES AND WE HAD TO SPEND TIME CLEANING UP AFTER SOMEONE ELSE AND THEIR WAS NO KITCHEN STUFF(POT HOLDERS,DISH TOWLES,SPONGES,CLEANING SUPPLIES,WE JUST HAD TO SPEND MORE TIME AT THE STORE.
BUT!!! WHEN YOU CALL THEY COME UP RIGHT AWAY TO FIX THE PROBLEM LIKE THE SPA THAT WAS FILTHY AND THEY HAD SOMEONE COME OUT TO FIX THAT TOO.
THE LOCATION IS GREAT. |

Cabin location is fantastic (if you like the moonstone area), 1 street away from the base of Bear Mountain Ski resort and the B.B. Zoo (Go there at 3pm for the feeding tours). Hearing the wolves from the Zoo howl every night at dusk was amazing.
Cabin condition was better than many I have stayed at over the years, although the "den" couch/futon was breaking down. Bed(s) were better than most, and 2 private bedrooms is nice, with the 3rd being the loft.
Water pressure is great as well as longevity of hot water, pretty decent on kitchen pots/pans/untensiles, etc...
The ONLY DOWNSIDE was the SPA. Besides the chlorine level being so high that it burnt my skin (gave my wife and I a rash for over a week.) It is NOT PRIVATE and sits directly across from a full-time local residents living room and patio (where their BBQ is at.) You can literaly watch the neighbors TV.
If you're creative you can kind of prop the spa cover up to give yourself a bit more privacy.
All in all this home was pretty good, I've been coming up the mountain for better than 25 years. A - for location (to me), B+ - for accomodations (for a "cheaper" rental).
NOT RECOMMENDED for snow conditions due to the driveway angle and slope. |

| Solid layout with plenty of room - very large loft area and 2 sufficiently sized bedrooms. functional kitchen/dining area flows nicely into living space. lower deck is accessible from the living space and one of the bedrooms - ok view, lots of room. Upper deck provides a better view and is accessible from the loft - smaller than lower deck. Back patio area could use more lighting for evening cookouts. spa works as advertised. driving - less than five minutes to the golf course and lifts. 10-15 minutes from big bear marina. Quiet neighborhood. |

| We were so happy when we got to the cabin. It was everything the ad said it was and more. The loft area is perfect for the kids with the two beds and fooze ball game. The view and location were perfect. The first day we walked to Snow Summit with our gear and boards but walking back at the end of the day was tough, we were tired from riding all day. There was plenty of snow and it nice to come back to the cabin and hang out and use the fire place. Also the people at big bear vacations were very nice and well organized. So that was a bonus. I would recommend this to my friends and family. |
