Care was taken to retain the cabins rustic charm, but many new features were added not found in your typical vacation rental: a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace; a half-log staircase, log trim around all windows and doors, stone-like ceramic tile floors in the kitchen and baths, as well as antique tin ceilings. Dormers and window seats in the upstairs bedrooms offer views of the pine-covered slope below. The large, fully-equipped kitchen has a table that seats 8, but numerous dining choices are less than 10 minutes away. Theres a large-screen TV and DVD player tucked under the staircase that provides cable access to 100s of channels plus HBO and Showtime. Theres also a TV and DVD player in the upstairs bedroom.
