Pooh Bear’s Hollow is the perfect place to allow your romantic side to come alive, as you sit on the deck and watch the sun float on the lake, creating another gorgeous Big Bear sunset. Now, being the nice person that you are, you can let the rest of your family enjoy the beautiful mysteries of nature with you. Everyone will sit in awe as Crayola’s color the sky with perfect hues of purple, red, orange and yellow. The home is a quaint, magical house where you can watch the world outside from the living room window box. Located in Boulder Bay, this home has a lakeview from the main living room as well as the front deck. It has three bedrooms and 1.50 bathrooms. There are two bedrooms on the second level- one with a 4 poster king and the other has a queen. There is also a “hide and go seek” bedroom with a twin daybed with trundle (no closet) tucked away on the other side of the kitchen. You can play horseshoes and volleyball in the huge back yard, dance with butterflies in the summer or build snowmen in the winter. On cool evenings you can let the aroma of your steaks on the BBQ fill the air. So listen to the quiet voice of Christopher-Robin and come to visit at Pooh Bear’s Hollow. Pooh Bear’s is walking distance to the marina. Good pets are welcome.

Some Minor Bumps in the Vacation |

First of all, the outside appearance of the house does not give this cute little cabin justice. The inside is so cozy and cabin-like that it was a perfect fit for our family of 8. The vaulted ceilings, the great fireplace, and the nice upgrades were just perfect.
We had a few issues that made the vacation a little disappointing, but they were mainly forgiveable.
First of all, the heater would not work the first afternoon. We followed the folder with instructions but to no avail. We had to call the maintenance to come out and fix it. They arrived within the hour, and got it working.
The next day the bottom floor bedroom had an active leak in the ceiling...the bathroom upstairs had just been upgraded and there was an issue with the seal. The plumber had to come and cut a hole in the ceiling and get to the pipes. This made for a mess.
Lastly, we had an RV parked in the driveway (they fit nicely alongside the garage!), and had been given a parking pass for the RV from BBVR. We get a knock on the door midweek, and it was Carol M from the rental office. She wanted to let us know that RV's were not allowed, etc. We were not very happy, as we had cleared this in advance with the rental management, then we had a tattle-tale show up to get into our business. It was very disconcerting and we made every attempt to not allow such a violation of privacy interrupt our mood in the cabin.
After we had checked out (several hours later) we realized that our daughter left 2 sweatshirts in a drawer in the cabin. The rental agency gave us two options: 1) drive back and get them (2 hours away!) or 2) pay $50 for shipping! They said that the $50 was to have to pay someone to go pick up the sweatshirts, go to a UPS store, then stand in line and get them shipped. That was probably the most ridiculous thing I had ever heard. Needless to say my husband is forced to drive up there to get them.
I grew up in Big Bear--the customer service was disappointing. |

| Thank you for your response to our survey. We are sorry there was a leak during your stay. RVs parked at houses do draw complaints. There can be parked (if there is room) but not used as extra sleeping area. Big Bear Lake has ordinances regarding this and we are sorry you were visited during your stay. |

| every spring me and my family pick a place to go..at the end of the trip we talk and compair what we like better from the last one there was so many good things to talk about that every one of our seven kids had a diffrent story..we could not picked a better cabin then the pooh bear hollow it was just perfect we loved it and our rental agentcy big bear vacation was great we will sure use them again in the summer. |

| WE WERE REALLY HAPPY WITH POOH BEAR HOLLOW! THIS IS A WARM, COMFORTABLE HOME. WE HAD A GREAT TIME, PLENTY OF ROOM FOR THE 4 OF US AND OUR 2 DOGS. IT'S IN A GREAT AREA WITH EASY ACCESS. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! |

During are stay at the pooh's cabin was wonderful. Are kids had such a good time in the snow. I highly recommend this cabin to any one staying in Big Bear. I cant wait to go back to Big Bear,and Yes I would stay at pooh's cabin again.

| This is by far one of the best family vacations ever! The timing was perfect, the location is great! We have a good view of the lake and the snow, phenomenal! Most of my family members have never experienced snow before and they definitely weren't disappointed! Great ammenities, speedy check-in given that we accomplished the emailed forms before we arrived. Friendly staff! Will definitely be back! |

A Wonderful Stay |

| This was our first stay at this cabin and we couldn't have been happier. We checked in at the bigbearvacations.com lodge and was greeted by the most delightful employee who explained details about the cabin, provided us with a welcome bag of goodies and charted out perfect directions on the map. Upon arrival we found the entire cabin to be clean, well equiped from kitchen to bathrooms. The living room furniture was comfortable, especially the leather recliner. The master bedroom's king size bed was firm, yet soft and supportive. There are fans in the living room and bedrooms to keep you cool day and night. The washer and dryer was a nice surprise. There is a nice size outdoor area in the back with tables and chairs, BBQ and a a volleyball court. There is deck in the front of the cabin that easily seats 8. The TV was an older model and a bit small, but sufficient for TV viewing. I would definitely stay here again. |

Do not book with Big Bear Vacation |

Big bear vacation rented the property as a 3 full bedroom and two bathroom home with 5 start rating. Not true.
It only has two bedrooms and the third room is not actually a bedroom, it is more of a storage room with a daybed and roll out bed. The second bathroom has no shower. Total bathrooms 1 1/2 not 2
The heater did not work properly, Linens were not clean etc. It was a horrible experience. Big bear Vacation did not do anything to keep its customer happy.
I requested a partial refund but got none.
Be ware of the this company as they have a very low rating at better business website. |

Kamran, thank you for taking the time to write a review and I am sorry that you felt the property was not as advertised. This unit is advertised as a three bedroom 1.5 bathroom. The third bedroom is a “hide & go seek” bedroom with no closet. As far as the heater and linens, we will continue to monitor this going forward and I apologize for the inconvenience.
With regard to the better business bureau, that is a private organization that one must pay a fee in order to respond to complaints. We do not subscribe and pay their fees which is why we are unable to respond to complaints on the better business website and therefore results in our poor rating. We have recently begun using FlipKey in order to collect and manage that exact type of information without paying the subscription fee to the better business bureau. We are considering participating in The BBB in the future.
