Vacation Rental Description
Welcome to Scandia Woods!! This is a pleasant and well decorated tri level cabin in a great central location minutes to anything in Big Bear. The home is decorated in Big Bear Mountain charm and has 4 bedrooms and 3 baths, plus a delightful outdoor spa. The 2nd level has a practical kitchen with microwave and dishwasher and has almost anything you could need. Wander out to the rear deck surrounded by trees and jump in the outdoor spa with patio furnishings and a BBQ. The relaxing living room with wood burning fireplace has TV/DVD/VCR and stereo. There is also a wonderful front deck to enjoy the treed surroundings. Upstairs on the 3rd level are two bedrooms, one with a king bed, trundle, TV and private deck. The second bedroom has two twin beds and TV, plus a shared bathroom on this level for these bedrooms. The 1st floor offers two additional spacious bedrooms and laundry room. The 3rd bedroom has a queen size bed and the 4th with a queen and 1 bunk set which have full size lower beds plus TV/VCR. These bedrooms share a full bath and also have access outside to the side yard area. Scandia Woods is a great place for your next stay in Big Bear!!!No pets please.

| So we were up there for Oktoberfest and there was 12 of us. We weren't that picky about where we stayed because we just needed to crash. When we arrived it looked okay, but then we went to cook dinner and all of the pots were dirty. Then we noticed all of these ants. That was really frustrating. There was also a trash can outside by the spa that was full of trash that did not belong to us. We told the check out people and at first they got defensive, but then they said someone would give me a call and ask how it went and possibly get some money back. Its been two weeks and I have yet to receive that phone call. On saturday mid-afternoon a realtor came by to show the house...awkward. Then we asked for late checkout which was $30 (ridiculous) and the cleaning people still came early. As for the cabin, it slept 12 people oddly, but everyone had a bed. We had some issues with the TV and sound system, but it wasn't horrible. The price for 12 people wasn't bad either so we weren't expecting the Ritz or anything. The one thing that was awesome was the jaccuzzi!~ |

We all had a blast! The kids especially. The kids could not get enough of the flight of stairs leading down to their room. the house was well kept & everything was working properly. it was very close to the lake where we took all the kids fishing. K-Mart, no joke, was right down the street. It was great because we had forgotten to take gloves for the kids. The washer & dryer where put to use the night we got there.
I recommened this property to all large families like mine, (9 kids in all went). It was a plus that it snowed the day after we arrived because that was what the kids were looking forward to. |

| This place has shades that are broken in every room dvd players don't work. nasy bathroom's, floors and carpet dirty beds on floor on bottom floor furiture broken couch's are tore up, deck has nails sticking up. grounds were dirty, had to clean up before the grandchildren played went to have a good time in big bear with them but turned out to be a worryed week-end with the kids, its a dangerous place if they would put nice furiture and just keep it up it would be ok its a big and on the inernet it look'fine but its not now we payed $800. 00 for 2 days it was a wase of our money, never again would want to see in person. |

| The place was fine, having a hot tub was REALLY nice. When I rented the property I was really excited about it being furnished and having an air hockey table. The air hockey table didn't work, though, and the central couch was in pretty bad shape. Overall, it was a nice place and served its purpose. The kitchen was great to have, but I had to wash the pots and pans before I could use them. |

Great location but home is in poor condition. It is in need of some
repairs. Missing blinds in two bedrooms and in family room.
Bathroom in living area has a really gross shower. Enjoyed the spa!!!
Kitchen was small for the size home and not very many pot, pans or
cooking items. |

In need of some TLC |

| The location was beautiful, and close to shopping, the lake and the slopes, but the cabin was in serious disrepair. Almost every piece of furniture was broken. Couches were missing cushions, chairs were wobbling, blinds were missing and the air hockey table is worthless. The longer we stayed, the more we found wrong with the cabin. Yes, it's a good value for sleeping 12, but ditch your high hopes. Make sure you bring your swimsuit, though... the spa was one thing that worked great!!! |

Health Hazard.... |

@ moms were there with 10 teenage boys. The boys didn't notice the problems. but the moms did.
Everything is very run down...torn couch, broken glass in coffee table, light bulbs exposed in many lamps and lights. Mold in the middle floor shower (disgusting). Lots of things falling apart. Downstairs heater is falling apart and not working properly. Kitchen missing some pots and pans.
This could be a decent rental if the owners gave it a little TLC. Not much is needed, just repairs here and there.
Wouldn't recommend this home for a family, but for teenage boys who were snowboarding (just there to sleep), it was okay. |

| This site was very spacious but had some problems. Many light bulbs were not working and the toilets kept breaking. Overall, a good place to stay but it's a bit overpriced. |

We'd definitely recommend this house - especially if you want to spend a lot of
your vacation at the snow. We cooked, the grill outside worked Ok and the jacuzzi was a nice surprise. With plenty of
room for the kids to play outside, we actually found some time to relax on our vacation with our friends! We'll be
back, sure |

| The Scandia Woods property was very spacious. The first day we got there we thought it was a great place fit with an air hockey table, heaters in the bathrooms, a spa, and enough beds for everyone. To make a long story short, the air hockey table didn't work, only one of the three bathroom heaters worked, the spa smelled of sulfur, and there were many other broken things throughout the house. It was a nice place to stay in because it was so big and located in the center of town, yet could use some improvements. |

This home was very roomy and was a good deal. But it was kinda old and there were several items that needed repairs. There was a rocking chair that had a broken leg and one of us flipped over while sitting in it!!! The mattresses in the den/gameroom needed to be replaced.
On the other hand, the jacuzzi worked well and the house was roomy enough for our family. |

I stayed in this cabin last year. It looks like it needs some work done to the cabin. We had a pleasant stay but, there were a few issues that needed attending to.

| I loved staying at scandia woods. It was a girls only trip for us girls ages 18-21, we had so much fun! The rooms had plenty of space and we were all very comfortable. The cabin is clean and provides all necessities. The hot tub was a major plus and the air hockey table downstairs gave us something to do while we were not snowboarding. All 12 of us girls plan on staying in scandia woods this coming year and are excited for the next girls get away! |
