There was some initial confusion on how many cars can park at the house but
beyond that the stay went relatively smoothly. We had to bring in a lot of
special kitchen tools since it didn't exactly have what we needed. The beds
were adequate at best and the cold water made a large grumbling sound in
the kitchen. It's an old house so don't expect to much but for the value it
worked. |

This was a great place to say because it was extremely affordable and had lots of room for everyone in our party-even a large back yard.
However, that being said, it is an older property. And as a result, has older fixtures and decorations. The home furnishings were fine, but one of the showers sprayed water like a high power hose. |

| We have rented cabins in the past in this by far was the worst we have ever rented. The place over all seemed dirty. I wish I would have brought sheets to put over the furniture, it was not comfortable to sit on. Not one window has a blind. When the sun comes up, it's in your face and to change in the rooms you feel like you have to hide in the corner. The shower in the restroom upstairs did not drain well and filled up as you showered. The kitchen sink also did not drain well at all. It is almost like camping. If you need anything in the kitchen to cook with or do anything I suggest you bring you own stuff. We have company drive from New Mexico to spend the weekend in this cabin with us. It was a very disappointing, it really needs to have some TLC. It is not cheap to rent a cabin, it should be more comfortable to stay in. |

| The gas stove didn't work without being lit manually with a lighter. Otherwise, the house was what we expected. Not a great cabin but the website honestly gave it a two star and so we weren't expecting anything too luxurious. |

| If you are a skier/snowboarder this house is located just 2 blocks from Snow Summit and just 2 blocks from the rental lodge. It is located in a very quite neigborhood and has a bigger then average back yard. It is a spacious cabin with 3 decent size bedrooms and a patio outside the master. We had 3 vehicles (SUV's) and it was a tight fit to get all 3 on the property, while the house is decent looking from the outside it has an old, musty, not occupied often smell to it. The decor is 1970's from ceiling to floor, the shower upstairs has no water pressure, the 2 sofa's are not comfortable, no cable tv, 1 tv in the house, stove was a hassle to get going, the dryer didnt dry clothes and the utensils/cookware was in very, very bad condition. I have rented from Big Bear Rentals before and have been completly satisfied but this house wasnt the greatest choice. |

| Thnk you for your response to our survey on unit 709, Ski Haus. This house is economically priced for its size and the amount of people it holds. This house is on the larger side and in its original construction state. During snow conditions some of the driveways become "smaller" with the accumlated snow. We are sorry this caused you any inconvenience. Please come and stay with us again. Big Bear offers year-round fun. |

To be honest the place needs t0 be remodel and refurnish.
Things that did't work
Upstairs heater
Drier
Half of the outlets
sleeper sofas
water foucets
Things that need repair
Carpet
Showers
Thermostat
Everytime some one rents a place and looks at tha pictures everything looks good, sleeps 10,
parking for 3 vehicles, washing machine and drier, control temperture etc.
But what happens when you get to the place where you are going to spend 5 days in peace and confort and the first thing you have to do is to clean the driveway your self becouse ther is only space for ONE vehicle and when you finish there is no way to fit the THIRD vehicle, you end up parking one vehicle somewhere else bwcoese the office people can not anithing about it, not even take the time to send some one to check all the thigs that were wrong with the place.
When I paid $1,809.85 i spected a place in exelent working conditions not a place place where you stay becouse you don't want to spaend Cristmas trying to figure out should we stay or go back Home.
I don't know what am going to say whem people ask me for a refence regarding your agency, I rented from other agency's and my revie is always a good one, but onestly i could not say trhe same from yours.

| The place was fine. Only problem was the driveway was not plowed at all. Then plowed for only one car altho rated for 3 and we had 3 cars coming. Other problem was the pilot light out on the upstairs heater which my son-in-law got started. Light bulbs were out in 2 lights but found the replacements. Kind of rustic but for the size and location was worht the money |

| On Dec 14th 2008 Big Bear recieved 3 feet of snow followed by 2 feet two days later; the largest snow storm in thirty-five years. To say the least driveways, roads, and walkways were buried. Big Bear Vacations worked as quickly as posiible to clear parking for our almost 400 homes. At this time all properties have been cleared for parking. |

This has had major issues such as the compartments of the
refrigerator were broken. It did not have a dishwasher. Both
washer and dryer are very old and the dryer did not work. The
kitchen was not fully equipped as it had stated on the listing.
To be fair the cost was very cheap compared to other cabins.
The location is great. Next time, I would rather pay more but
get something better. |

| Thank you for your response to our survey on Ski Haus Unit 709. The owner has ordered a new refrigerator. We will tell him about the washer and dryer. We verified this unit is rated as a 2 star unit (ratings are 1 star to 5 star). The kitchen is a full kitchen (refigerator, oven, stove, sink) as opposed to a kitchenette. We are sorry this caused you an inconvenience.. Again, thank you for your survey response. Come and stay with us again and will give you a better experience. |

While not as secluded as I originally thought (or maybe that's
just poor research on my part), the cabin was very homey. We
had ten in our party and slept comfortably. The front desk staff
was very helpful and there was no wait at all to check in and
out. There's some equipment in the kitchen, which was nice.
Everything was clean and the cabin looked well-tended. Good
for quick getaways and very economical.

The place was not bad except for the 1970's decor. The deck is
unsafe to say the least. You could lean on the upper deck and it
would give easily. The curtains and refridgerator are old and beat
up. The beds were not very comfy. For 380 dollars a night it was
not that great. Checking out at 11 is a rip-off too. For 50 more
dollars we got to stay there until 5. Not a great deal and I think a
better check out time would only make common sense. |

| Thank you for response to our survey on Ski Haus nit 709. This house is rated a 2 star and is in it's original condition. We have updated the description to state this. We are sorry the beds were uncomfortable for you and will bring this to the owners attention. We will evaluate the deck to make sure it is safe. Eleven is the standard check out time for homes in Big Bear Bear. This gives our housekeeping staff time to get the homes clean before the next guest arrives at 3pm. We can offer a late check out only on departure day in that any house can be rented through the internet on any departure date. I am sorry this caused you discomfort. We do have many houses with higher star ratings that have much newer ammenities that will fit you more nicely. |

We had a party of 8 stay at this property, and we loved it!
From the excellent customer service at the check-in, to the comfortable accomdations of the house.
The heater from the downstairs area wasn't working, and we got someone to come out in a very prompt matter and help us with the issue.
We had a very pleasant stay, and we wish to repeat our trip soon!!! |
