Star Gazin’ is a nice two bedroom two bath, in a great location that is close to the lake and the Village. Star Gazin’ is a perfect year round vacation getaway for family or friends. The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave and dishwasher plus a laundry room for your convenience. The living room is nicely furnished and has a great wood burning stove, TV/DVD and stereo. There is even a foosball table available for even more fun for everyone. The huge master bedroom has a king size bed with an additional twin and is tastefully decorated. The 2nd bedroom has a full bed and a bunk set with an attached full bath. The 2nd bathroom has a claw tub with a seperate shower stall. The back deck offers a wonderful outdoor spa and charcoal BBQ. Whatever you choose to do to enjoy Big Bear, Star Gazin’ is the perfect place to be. For extra family or friends you can book property 868, (California Dreamin’) which will include the separate studio! Good pets are welcome. This unit has DSL wireless internet.

My girlfriends and I brought our kids for a weekend and we thought is was wonderful. You don't need to bring any kitchen utincels at all because they have everything, bring extra toilet paper.
And the jacuzzi was awesome! |

I was very pleased with the cabin. Very spacious
plenty of room to park. I'll definately come back.
Got excelent service checking in. Only 1 mile from the water, I got to dock the boat right on the dock, wich was very convenient. People were nice to talk to. No complaints at all. |

The home is wonderful: jacuzzi, elevated deck for star watching, quiet
neighborhood, we enjoyed our summer stay. We had a little difficulty with the
TV, but it was resolved with the owner's very quickly. |

| My only objection to the property was the stairs. I forgot to ask for one level when requesting a rental. My daughter was on crutches, my husband & I are elderly and he has had several hip replacements which made it difficult to lug everything up the stairs. Otherwise everything was great. |

| This is a great place to stay, especially if you have kids. The play structure and foosball table were a hit with ours. We loved the kitchen with the big center island and breakfast bar. The cabin is also situated on a slope which allowed our kids to do some sledding right outside the door and then come in for hot chocolate when they got tired. |

Good house - Staff lacking concern |

| This is the second time we have stayed in this house. While we like the cabin itself, the staff at Big Bear Vacations lack the kind of professional attitude and follow-through one would expect. First the pros: the house itself is very large with a great master bedroom and a good sized second bedroom. This is a great family house. Both the bedrooms have bathrooms next to them and each has a television in it (although the one in the small bedroom only takes DVDs). The living room is large with an open kitchen attached, and is perfect for those family dinners where everyone can be together while it is being cooked and served. The living room has a television, DVD, and satellite dish. There is a Foosball table in one corner. The main living room area has enough room for the whole family to relax in at the end of the day. Now for the cons: the problems are not really with the house but the way issues are dealt with by Big Bear Vacations. As mentioned, this was our second year renting this house. The first year we arrived and discovered that the Jacuzzi was really dirty. We were promised that someone would be right out. It took 2 days and countless phone calls before it was cleaned and then we were told that we need to wait 24 hours to use it-a real problem in a 4 day vacation. This year I called 4 separate times before we arrived to make sure that the Jacuzzi was clean and working. Each time I was promised that someone would make sure that it was looked at before we arrived; I was also promised when we checked in that all would be working. When we arrived I discovered that the Jacuzzi was not working, had not been working for 5 days, had a part on order and would not be available for the length of our stay. The attitude of the staff was curt, no apology and no sense of why I was angry. When I tried to talk to person in charge of operations?she passed the call to one of her staff and refused to talk to me. In the end I was given a $25 a night credet. |

| The pictures do not give this cabin justice! It was just perfect for 2 small families, with 1 dog, & left room to spare! The small hillside yard made a perfect place for the kids to play on with the snow toys and the jacuzzi was a great way to relax before bed for a good night sleep. We will be coming back for sure!! |

| Cabin was very spacious and comfortable. Had a great time. The spa was great. Master Bedroom is huge. Had some difficulty with the cable in the living room, found a cable disconected which fixed it, but still would go out every once in a while. Overall great stay, would definitly stay again. |

| Had great time. Jacuzzi was dirty and lundry room was creepy. But kitchen and rooms were great. Awsome kitchen for cooking. Needs new couches they are worn out. Lots of room and open area. |

The main room size is much larger than what pictures show. I liked the layout of this cabin.
Spa worked fine, Kitchen supplies were well stocked, The main family / great room is quite large.
The only slight inconvenience is the outdoor washer / dryer. (not a problem for short stays where you won't be using them, are outdoor washer and dryers normal in big bear?)
I would rent this cabin again.

| We absolutely loved this place. The bedrooms and bathrooms were good. We spent most of our time in the very nice kitchen. It's great for cooking and hanging out around the island. The hot tub was wonderful being right outside of the back door. There's a laundry room in the basement that is a little creepy so I recommend not going down there, especially if you have kids. There's a swing set for kids in the front yard as well. It was located out of the city so it was very relaxing. We had a wonderful weekend at this place and will definitely be back. |

My family and i had the most wonderful time at this home; its full of peace,love and harmony. We had a great time enjoying the huge kicthen cooking cookies hot choclate and popcorn perfect for movies in front of the fireplace. Our fishing experience was wonderful by the way fishing is not too far. Our master bedroom had a wonderful balcony at night we were able to star gaze and enjoy the beauty that nature has to offer. I thank the owners for letting us spend such a memorable weekend.

Location close to downtown in a quiet street.
House is very comfortable with a large living room, two dining room tables and a kitchen that is perfect for preparing the family meals. Clean and very spacious. Playground on the side of the house.
Great location for a family. I will rent it again!

We just spent a nice weekend at the Star Gazin' #866 cabin. Everything a family needs. The kids loved the bunk bed, jacuzzi, fuseball game and large swing set in the front yard. There's a lovely balcony with b.b.q. overlooking the playarea and the quiet neighborhood. Our kids were able to have fun, while dinner was being barbequed. The kitchen is large and well-stocked. The only thing we thought was missing was a roll of paper towels and extra dish towels. The cabin is very open and airy, yet cozy.
We were able to find our way to the lake. It was a bit out of the way since the street was closed for construction. We were a little disappointed that there was no lake access and our walk led to such a small cove.
Overall, the house is beautiful and very comfortable. It is close to the Village and lake. We hightly recommend it. We are looking forward to returning for another vacation. |

This home is very roomy, with a large open floor plan (living
room/dining room/kitchen all in one huge area). The master bedroom
is very large, as well. The yard has great play equipment for kids, and
the jacuzzi is really nice for the adults! The house could have been
cleaner, and the decor is just ok. Very unattractive green carpeting in
the bedrooms. The laundry area is under the house, in an unfinished
area with a concrete path leading to it, and it's like something out of a
horror movie. Creepy! I couldn't bring myself to go down there and do
any laundry. The house is located on a nice, quiet residential street,
about a 15 minute walk to the lake. |
