My cousins and I have an annual Gatlinburg Trip, and this was the first cabin we ever rented. This rustic cabin was wonderful!!! Lots of room in the house. The bedrooms were large and the kitchen was very well equipped. The cabin was very secluded and not very far from Downtown Gatlinburg. Might I suggest one thing, if you plan on grilling, do so early in the afternoon before it gets dark or be sure to have a flashlight. There is a light near the grill, but with the smoke of the grill, it can be difficult to see. I HIGHLY recommend this cabin and this company

Overall, this cabin was nice. Convenient to Gatlinburg and the National Park,
it offered us a great base for our day trips. Given that it cost less than the
studio we rented in Nashville,it was great! The kitchen is well equipped,
there's enough seating, the hot tub was very nice, and there's plenty of
room to spread out. The management was very nice and helpful.

So now for the cons: I'm very fussy about cleanliness. The cabin is
superficially clean, but it wouldn't pass the white glove test...dust in the
corners, etc. The fact that the cabin is in the woods fosters more mildew
than most of us could comfortably handle and we sneezed and wheezed a
good part of the time we were there, but that's no fault of the mangers or
owners. I do think the cabin could have softer beds...everyone in our party
agreed they were rock hard. And the cabin had an overall musty
smell...maybe from mold and mildew, maybe from the carpet and
furniture...hard to tell. The huge TV was awesome but we couldn't figure out
the remotes to change channels.

Our stay here was most pleasant. The hot tub and jacuzzi tub were both great after long hikes. It also was nice that while we did have neighbors they were not directly on top of us. We did also use the pool which happens to be almost directly above the cabin. We saw a young black bear walking up the hill right outside our door. That was friggin awesome!

Overall everything worked great, the kitchen had the right pots and pans for us to do some cooking, and the cabin is extremely close to Gatlinburg and also Ober Gatlinburg.

Our group has already recommended this cabin specifically to multiple groups of freinds and hope to retun ourselves perhaps next year for another long relaxing and enjoyable stay.

If you are looking for something unique to do go to the Deer Farm outside of Sieverville. Its a really cool petting zoo and nothing else like it exists in that area.

I cant honestly say there was anything wrong with the cabin at all. The stairs are the only "issue" and that is only really a problem when your loading and unloading your luggage.

We found out about this cabin due to our previous relationship with Mountain Laurel Chalets. The home is a nice two story layout on the side of the mountain very close to Ober Gatlinburg. Very clean home. Beds were a little hard, but otherwise the home worked very well for us. The only bit of excitement was when a very large black bear wandered around the outside of the home for a few minutes one evening.

The only problem was with the Hot tub, It was not hot, the service man did come out but he did not do any good, the water reached about 85 degrees at the most, warm bath water. One of the main reasons we rented this cottage was for the Hot tub. All else was just fine, well set up and supplied. Enjoyed the property, we will not let this incident stop us from staying with Mountain Laurel in the future we will just ask when we rent to make sure the Hot tub is in working order.

We (my family of 4) invited our friends (a family of 3) to go to gatlinburg for us a weekend in December. We have stayed with Mountain Laurel many times and have tried different cabins along the way. What we got this time was truly nasty and was embarassing since we invited some friends along - they trusted our judgement on a nice place to stay. We had mice all over the cabin. Droppings were everywhere and when a mouse ran across our kitchen cabinets we decided to let the front desk of Mt. laurel know. They sent up a service guy who put out rat traps but put them in places where we had to watch our 2 and 4 year olds. We practically stayed away from the cabin as much as we could and woke mornings to find rodent droppings around the cabin again. We never caught a mouse in the trap. We told the front desk about our terrible experience and their response was that mice were a big problem this time of year due to the cold. Oh well ... we plan on going back this year and trying a different cabin but you can bet that if it's a terrible experience again we wont stay with Mt. laurel anymore. I have used them personally for many, many years but the service has not been the best in the last 3 years.

Nice cabin/house off Light 10 close to the Park. Remote enough that we never realized we were so close to Ski Mountain amusement area (one street down from top of Ski Mtn Road). Interior spacious, furnished better than expected. Hot tub outside on covered porch right next to living room but not visible from road. Only complaint is that all the living areas are up an outside flight of steep narrow well worn wooden stairs. If you have trouble with stairs, this is not the house for you. Once you get in the house, there are two bedrooms upstairs with a large master on the main floor.
One warning: if you stay, please remember to put your garbage out per the rules! Next house up did not, they left garbage bags outside the proper containers and so brought the bears out of the park for free food! to meet us at dusk. We knew what it was, and stayed in. Never a threat for us, but something to be aware of.

We rented this cabin, due to price, availability, and the wireless internet access. However, we found that the cabin was more than expected.

This was the first time we had rented a cabin, so we really didn't know exactly what to expect. We found the cabin clean, and very roomy! All the rooms were spacious. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen well equipped, with everything but food, of course. You'll need to remind yourself that no maid will clean up each day, so plan accordingly. You'll also need to do a little laundry yourself. Considering the low cost, the exceptional privacy, what little effort we had to put out cleaning up after ourselves worth it.

We did find some remotes missing batteries, but that was quickly remedied once we cared enough to ask about it. My wife enjoyed the indoor Jacuzzi, and the kids loved having their own large bed, and TV.

We didn't use the outdoor hot tub. I would also encourage anyone renting this cabin to bring a vehicle that doesn't have a problem with climbing the mountain. Thankfully there were some cinder blocks around the cabin to put in the back of my pickup. Some of the turns, and hills can be rough when / if the roads are wet and the pickup light in the back.

The next time we stay in Gatlinburg, we'll probably try to book this cabin again. The description above says "sleeps 2" that's crazy, could sleep at least 6, as it has 3 bedrooms with the smallest bed being a double.

My Sisters and I started coming down to the Gatlinburg Area about 7 years ago, 2001 (Sister Bonding).

Our first year experience with a cabin rental agency (recommended by a friend),
was less to be desire. I stopped in to
the Mt. Laurel Chalet Office on Ski Mountain Road. The staff there were just great and so helpful, Cheryl caught
my heart right away. There was nothing
that woman could not do for us - she went far
beyond just the sales person duties.
Ever since then, we have been coming and
renting cabins from Cheryl at Mt. Laurel
Chalet every year, sometimes twice a year.

That is when we rented the Da'Mar Property. We have stayed there several
times. Great Home, lots of space for
the Girls or the family, and Hot Tub for after the shopping trip. Now for entertainment, just sit out on the front porch at dusk and watch for the bears.

If we notice anything that needed fix or
replaced, the maintance people were there that day, if not the next. GREAT SERVICE!

Our family is so satisfied with Cherly at Mt. Laurel Chalets, I doubt if we ever
rent a cabin from any other service!
