You'll love the designer feel of this luxurious home from the river pebble shower floor to the cathedral ceilings in the great room. The Master Suite offers a King bed with a 29" television tucked into a beautiful armoir and adjoining bathroom that is a dream come true. If you enjoy baths, there is a spacious soak tub, or if you are a shower person, there's room enough for two! There is plenty of room to dress with his and hers vanities and privacy for the commode in a room by itself. The hot tub is just a few steps from the bedroom on the outside deck. The spacious great room offers all the comforts of home with two rich, leather sofas, 32" television, gas log fireplace and a fabulous selection of books and board games. If cooking is your thing, you will love this kitchen. Located at the far end of the great room, you can still enjoy the fireplace and television while watching your pots simmer on the Jenn-Aire range. A sleek glass topped dining table and upholstered chairs makes every meal a special event. Or, if you prefer, take your plate outside and enjoy the view from the deck where you will find another glass table and comfy chairs. The view overlooks downtown Gatlinburg and Mt LeConte in the distance.

| I really did enjoy my stay in the Schonblick! I told all my family and friends about the cabin. The cabin was so pretty and clean, I am going to make it back before the end of the year. I hope to take my elderly parents to the cabin before the end of the year! |

My wife really enjoyed the visit at Schonblik. It was a great set up and well maintained. I would have liked a different Shower head for the main shower, but that's very minor. The hot tub had a high chlorine level and it irritated the nose and throat, however not enough to keep me out. I loved the TV and brought some DVDs to watch during the rain. We ate out for one night and cooked shrimp to other, both of which were wonderful. The couches were very comfortable as well as the bed.
I think that it would have been great if there was a place for MLC customers to park to walk around in Gatlinburg. We did not do so because we did not wish to pay to park.
Overall wy wife and I had a great visit and would gladly return another time. |

The house was spectacular! hot tub was great! view was absolutely georgous! Just can't say enough to explain how great it was!
Super clean, beautiful decor, we even got to see a little black bear in the back!

Great Smoky Mountain Hideaway |

| I wanted to take my 12-year old son on a Smoky Mountain vacation but couldn't decide on a place to stay. I was searching online and found Mountain Laurel Chalets and Schonblick almost by accident. As soon as I saw the pictures and read the description of this place, I had to book it. I was not disappointed. Schonblick has everything you need to enjoy your stay and more. We almost couldn't wait to get "home" every day after hiking or sight-seeing. The view was great. The chalet is at the end of the road and very private. It seemed almost too quiet at times because the surrounding cabins were not occupied during our stay. The chalet is decorated with loving care and many bears, and you can see that the owners want their guests to enjoy their stay. The drive up and down the mountain is a bit harrowing but well worth it. When you drive to the bottom of the mountain take a left and you're in town, take a right and you're in the park. I wholeheartedly recommend Schonblick and Laurel Mountain Chalets. I miss being there as I write this. |

| The house was very large--larger than in the pictures. The decor was beautiful. We cooked all our meals at the chalet and the kitchen was very well equipped. The bed and master bathroom are extremely comfortable. The porch was great for grilling, going in the hot tub, and for seeing the mountains and downtown Gatlinburg. If we return to Gatlinburg we will definitely stay at Schonblick. |

Looked for a place for my wife and I to get away from the kids and stresses of everyday life. Couldn't have picked a better place.
Check-in was very easy and within minutes we were off to our weekend retreat. House was very clean and certainly well maintained. MUCH larger inside than it looks from the outside. There's even a loft with a daybed (in case you have a 3rd or 4th wheel). Very nice kitchen and bathroom upgrades. The view from the lenghtly patio is stunning. Literally a few minutes from G'burg but high enough in mtns that you are somewhat secluded.
On the way down the mtn to check out, we saw a couple bears at some of the neighboring chalets. Got some good pix. The staff at check out was very friendly and talked at lenth to us about the bears and our stay. Will most certainly return and would highly recommend to a couple looking for a romantic getaway.
My only regret is that we didn't have longer to enjoy the chalet. Would've loved to have had time to take in some of the enormous collection of books. Would also like to visit in the late Fall or Winter. |

| Schonblick is our little secret hideaway. When the pressures of life get to be too much, we know we have a place to get away from everything close to home. The chalet is always spotless, everything we need is there, if we want to partake of the restaraunts in Gatlinburg they are five minutes away, if we want to go on a peaceful hike, the Smoky Mountains are five minutes away. If we want to be alone and content with the beautiful view, we have that option as well. This last time we visited, we brought all our food to cook, stayed indoors and watched it rain. This was such a welcome break to our nonstop hectic lifestyle, I can't wait until we go again! |

We recently stayed at Schonblick that overlooks downtown Gatlinburg and offers an outstanding view of the city especially in the evening hours. This was our 5th or 6th stay in this chalet which has all the comforts of home and at a reasonable price. In our thinking,renting this chalet offers more than taking a room at one of the hotels in and around the Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg area which we did when we first started visiting the Smokies many years ago.
Having the ability to fix our own meals in the unit is most definitely a plus and money saver. You have everything you would have at home to prepare your own meals and enjoy them in the privacy that this unit provides.
We have stayed in various chalets that are managed by Laurel Mountain Chalets and have been very pleased with the accommodations and the service given us. Schoblick has been our most favorite and we will continue to visit it as long as we can travel to Gatlinburg.

We rent cabins and chalets in Gatlinburg every year about this time. This was the first time renting one above Gatlinburg and we were not disappointed. This chalet is one of the best places we have ever stayed at. It is an older chalet but has obviously been completely renovated. It is semi-secluded and the views from the back deck of Gatlinburg from 1000 feet above are fantastic. The chalet is basically one big room with a separate bedroom/bathroom combination. It has high (15') ceilings making it seem larger than it is. The interior was very well appointed with a black bear theme throughout. Large screen TV, Ipod docking station, stereo, large bookcases filled with books.
The only negatives we found are the road getting to the cabin is VERY twisty/curvey and steep--you better have a good transmission and be able to drive twisty roads, especially at night. Also, the hottub is right outside the bedroom and can be noisy at night. Other than that this place is fantastic and we would definitely stay here again. |

We loved the chalet- it had a great view and plenty of space and amenities. Everything worked and all the instructions were clear and easy to follow. We will definitely stay here again.
A few things needed to be updated/upgraded (the bed in the master bedroom needs a new mattress), other than that they were minor details.

| We have stayed with Mountain Laurel several times and each time gets a little better. We absolutely loved Schonblick chalet. The pictures on the internet doesn't do it justice. It is much nicer than it looks. It has a very romantic setting with a huge master bedroom with a hot tub just outside the bedroom doors. The bathroom is something to see for yourself,beautifully designed. We loved the layout of this chalet,the view was absolutely awesome. We will be back to stay at this chalet again, one of the nicer ones we have stayed at. We always have a great experience with Mountain Laurel and plan to stay again with them soon!!! |

| We had a fabulous weekend staying in this chalet. The checkin process was quick and smooth. The house is nestled at the end of the road, so it is very private. There are no houses tucked next to you and there is a very nice view. We fully enjoyed all of the amenities of this property including the 2 person shower, soak tub, hot tub on the deck, the awesome living room, loft, and the excellent kitchen that has everything you need. We are looking forward to booking this propery again this year and I highly recommend Schlonblick for a couples getaway. |

This is
the first time that we stayed in a vacation rental home instead of a hotel -- and it was perfect. We arrived much later than expected and the staff stayed around to make sure we were able to get the keys.
Everything was in order when we arrived, and we were pleased to
learn that the pictures online matched the home. It's actually nicer than the pictures!
I definitely would recommend this to a couple planning a cozy romantic weekend. |

| Wow...awesome place, awesome views and overall awesome experience. The chalet is absolutely beautiful. Where else can you go where there's absolute tranquility, and then drive 15 minutes away to a blustering city full of action?? Can actually see downtown Gatlinburg from the deck! During breakfast one morning on the deck, had a mother bear and 3 cubs stroll down the driveway, sniff around our car and then wandered off into the woods...talk about a nice touch. Highly recommended. |

Wonderful veiw,I would highly recommend this property for a romantic getaway for two.Very cozy cabin and very high up in the mountains.Very nice kichen that provided everything you need to prepare a romantic dinner for you and your mate.Don't forget to pack your own candles and holders that was the one thing that was not provided.Hope who ever stays at Schonblick enjoys it as much as we did.

| This cabin is absolutely wonderful! The view of downtown Gatlinburg was spectacular. Love all the windows in the back of the house. The master bathroom has a great shower and the king size bed is so comfortable. We definitely plan to return again to this cabin. |

| My wife and I have stayed in Schonblick on our Honeymoon in 1990. We have since stayed as various Chalets, yet Schonblick remains our absolute favorite. We visit as often as our busy schedules allow and always feel refreshed after a visit (and wish we could stay indefinately). Schonblick has very nice ammenities, including a library collection that is sure to please. I would recommend it to anyone that needs a break from reality or just simply loves spending time in the mountains. |

| Everything was perfect! The cabin we stayed in was the Schonblick. It was our honeymoon vacation. We got there late and all the information we needed was waiting for us. The cabin was absolutely beautiful and perfectly well kept. Everything we could possibly need was there. Laundry exchange was easy, and when we asked for maintinance to attend to something they took care of it immediately. We can't wait to go back. Thank you for the perfect honeymoon that we had always dreamed of. |

| We have stayed at Schonblick for the past 4 years at New Years time. The view is exceptional. Very clean and we feel like we are at home. I would highly recommend this chalet. We will definetly be back next year. My husband and I just love it hear. As a matter of Fact in the past we have always rented thru Laurel Mountain and have never had a bad experience. However, out of all of the the Schonblick is the VERY BEST. |

Schonblick is a wonderful, relaxing home high on the mountain. It has a beautiful view over the city, with the city lights gleaming at night. The owners have done a fantastic job of keeping the rustic mountain feel but yet it is very modern - the walk-in shower is great! It has a very large gas fireplace with a beautiful log mantel. The owners also have a HUGE library of books. It is perfect for a romantic getaway, but does have a loft with a trundle day bed that our 2 daughters used on our second visit.
The only negative I can think of is that it is a very steep drive to get there...probably the steepest we've had and we have stayed on the mountain several times. |

| We would love to come back soon for another visit:) We loved the deck...ate every meal outside! The master bathroom was huge and made getting cleaned up a snap. The kitchen was perfect and had everything we needed and the collection of books was amazing. We had a visit from a bear our last night there, so that was a real treat. Hopefully we will be back soon! |
