We rented (2) condos at Shallowbag Bay Club this year in a follw-up vacation to the Outer Banks that we took last year. Both condos were clean, nicely furnished and well maintained. The Pirate's Cove staff was also very helpful in providing access to other members of our family who had arrived a little early. Shallwbag Bay Club is a beautiful marina which is centrally located to many OBX points of interest. We really like the Outer banks area and will no doubt return there for future vacations. More...

The location and the condo were awesome. Very quite and relaxing. However, the swimming pool was too cold to enjoy, and the hot tub was only 91 degrees. We had 4 boys and could not enjoy the pool. I called Pirates Cove Realty but the problem was never resolved. Kind of a bummer to pay this kind of money and not have evverything first class. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shallowbag #202. There was ample room in the condo for 4 adults and 1 child and we had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The condo was very clean and organized and had a wonderful view. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the swing and watching the boats come in and out of the marina. The proximity to the pool is a definite plus. I can honestly say that there wasn't anything we said we "wished was here but isn't". I would HIGHLY recommend this condo to others. (I plan to rent it again if possible.) They have a guest book also which was a lot of fun to read. Please make sure you take time to sign it! We really enjoyed our Christmas vacation in the condo #202. Our kids and grandkids from Herford, NC and Newnan, GA stayed with us for the week of Christmas. We had rented #207 a couple of years ago, and loved it. The fourth bedroom for the grandkids in this one was a welcome addition. The staff at Pirates Cove Realty are friendly and helpful, and they left home-baked cookies to welcome us when we arrived. We decorated with a lighted Christmas tree and stockings, and it felt like home when we opened our gifts. We highly recommend it and also Strikers and Daryl's for great dining within walking distance. More...
