Vacation Rental Description
Lake Effect is located on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan s Little Traverse Bay and only a few minutes north of Harbor Springs. This is in a beautiful neighborhood of distinctive lakefront homes and near a nature preserve. Follow a planked path and steps from the house to a small deck near the lake. You can walk along a natural rocky shoreline that has interspersed sand and natural vegetation for miles. Search for Petoskey Stones, find driftwood, or watch the sunset. It is not unusual to see an occasional fox, deer or other woodland critters passing through. The house has 3 bedrooms, 3 and 1/2 baths and will accommodate 6 people. The main level has a comfortable open floor plan and includes the living room, dining room, kitchen and a 1/2 bath. Tables near the windows and on the main deck allow you to enjoy the panorama while dining or lounging. The fully equipped kitchen has modern stainless steel appliances including dual convection ovens. A gas grill is conveniently located on the kitchen patio. The living room has a wood burning fireplace and TV/VCR/DVD. Upstairs is the Master Bedroom with a king bed, TV, vaulted ceiling with remote fan control and windows facing the bay. The private bath has a jetted whirlpool tub, walk in shower, dual sinks and a walk in closet. A second bedroom with a queen bed has a ceiling fan, and there is a full bath in the hall. The lower level has a third bedroom with 2 twins and TV, an office, full bath, laundry room and a family room with a TV and table for games. A door exits to access the stairs up to the main deck and the steps down to the lakefront. Nearby is downtown Harbor Springs for dining and recreation. Golf at world class courses in the area, all just a short drive from this home. Take day trips to area resort towns: Boyne City, Charlevoix, Bay Harbor, Petoskey, Mackinaw City and Mackinac Island, or cross the bridge to St. Ignace.

| The home was in clean and in good shape. It had a beautiful view of the bay with its own shoreline. There was pleanty to do in the area, and we enjoyed every moment. |

| Lake effect was very relaxing. It was wonderful to hear the waves crashing on the beach at night. The location was perfect for visiting all of our favorite northern Michigan spots. The house had plenty of room for two small families to spread out. The beach was not cleaned up enough to use, but the house is close enough to drive to Sturgeon Bay. We had a wonderful stay. |

| This home was the perfect respite from the big city for our family. It is located a few miles north of Harbor Springs on the Lake Michigan. There is beach access were you can walk for miles. Although the beach is rocky, you can walk twenty minutes north for sand beaches where you can swim. You hear the waves from the master bedroom and bath which sound like the ocean. The master bath is incredible with steam shower and giant jacuzzi tub. There is a wonderful kitchen and a big deck for entertaining. We can't wait to stay here again! |

| We spent a great week in Harbor Springs, MI. The house was great for a family of three. The view from the master bedroom. The master was great! Husband loved the steam shower. The deck was not very safe for a 3 year old and the walkway down to the beach and sitting area around the beach needs wo be replaced. Overall, we had a great time! |

| We loved the location of this home. The views from inside the house, and from the deck, were fantastic. We felt like we were nestled in the woods but had only a short walk to the beach. The house is laid out great for family gatherings with dining area open to living room. The bedrooms were sparse but comfy. The house offers all of the amenities including decent appliances, washer/dryer and even a soaking spa tub! I would definitely recommend this home for your next family get-together or escape. |

Fall asleep to Lake Michigan waves |

You won't go without all the comforts of (what you wish you had at) home at this rental. The steam shower was a particular hit as far as the house's upscale amenities go. But the best part was the location on a Lake Michigan bluff, in some isolated woods. The beach is a short walk through the woods, but the height amplifies the sound of the waves. Keep the windows open to get the full "lake effect" and also keep watch for some gentle, welcome visitors. We spotted deer aplenty, including one who walked right up to the front door.
