Winding roads within Birchwood Farms are suitable for bicycling and jogging. Downtown Harbor Springs is less than 4 miles away for beaches, shopping, dining, sightseeing, water sports, and much more. For a change of pace, take a day trip to Petoskey, Bay Harbor, Boyne City, Charlevoix, Mackinaw City, Mackinac Island or the Upper Peninsula.

| Spent four days here. Have rented homes before. House was nice, but not frilly. All working appliances. No A/C, but not necessary with all the shade, evening breeze, and ceiling fans everywhere. Loved having access to Birchwood country club facility as part of the rental. Great club for golf, swimming, tennis, and club's restaurant. House is ten minute drive from downtown Harbor Springs, which is a plus. Spent each evening on the porch enjoying the wonderful view of Lake Michigan. |

The house looked fine online, the views are spectacular. The home smelled when you walked in the door. I expect some smell from a deer cabin, not a $400/night rental. And then there was the open rodent baits in the garage and in the basement by the ping pong table. Rocks on the wall, on the ledges, the window sills, on the LIGHT SWITCHES. Some people may find it keachy, but with a 16 month old, it was a nightmare. The management company needs to have the owners clean up the house or get it off the market.

Each vacation rental is distinctive and is decorated according to the owners' personal tastes. This rental property is decorated in an eclectic style with stone collections. Many past guests have found the decor interesting and unique, but admittedly it may not be the best choice for small children. We have contacted the owner and much of the stone collection has been removed to avoid this inconvenience to other renters with small children.
The home was recently opened for the season and treated to ensure it remained pest free. The faint smell and rodent baits placed in the basement and garage are a trade of for a pest free vacation home. Thank you again for taking the time to leave a review as it will help us ensure that in the future this home will better meet guest’s needs and expectations.
