| My sons and I had a wonderful time once again in Hilton Head. The Villa was nice. We have stayed at this location in the past but in a differennt unit. #430 was nice but we do prefer the unit we have stayed in the past. The other unit left some beach chairs, shovels, pails,pool items, etc... to share which was very nice. This unit did not- but that was fine. The unit, #430 was well maintained and comfortable. I did miss having a balcony to sit on and the view was not ideal- but overall I would rent it again- |

| We stayed at 430 Forest Beach Villas in Hilton Head in July 2009. The accomodations were wonderful - the condo was beautifully decorated, comfortable, clean, and well appointed. The location was close to the beach, Coligny Circle and Sea Pines Plantation. The service provided by Hilton Head Vacation Rentals was friendly, quick and convenient. |

This villa is gorgeous!! The kitchen and baths have granite counter tops. By the looks of the villa, you'd think it would be a lot more expensive than it is. It's a steal! Definitely worth your money. We had a wonderful time! There is a parking garage underneath the building for you to park in. This villa is a two-story unit, which we found out when we got there. When you walk through the front door, to your left is the stairs that kind of curve to the second level. The kitchen, dining room, living room, and one bathroom are on the main level. The bathroom has a small closet, sink, toilet, and tub/shower combination. The kitchen has a dishwasher and they provided dishwashing detergent for a single load, so we bought a small bottle of dishwashing detergent at a local grocery store called the Bi-Lo. They also provided a 4 oz. bottle of dishwashing liquid, and 2 boxes of washing powder for the washer, so we bought laundry detergent at the Bi-Lo as well. At the top of the stairs is a laundry closet with a stackable washer/dryer unit. Both bedrooms are on the second level. The listing for the villa lists the master bedroom as having king sized bed, but it is actually a queen or full. The master bath has a stand up shower, but no tub. The hall bath is right beside the guest bedroom. It has a small closet, sink, toilet, and tub/shower combination. They didn't list high speed internet access specifically for this villa. I brought my laptop with me and could connect to unsecured wireless networks which were not encrypted, so I only used the internet to search for things like directions and restaurants, not anything I would need to sign into, such as e-mail, Facebook, MySpace, etc. so that my passwords were kept safe.
Everything was great at the villa. However, one morning we did wake up to find that some of our food (which we stored on open shelves, not in the cabinets) had been chewed into by possibly a mouse, although we never actually saw one. We contacted the rental company and they sent someone over the next day to set sticky traps. We checked them each day, but never found a mouse on any of them.
Another issue was that the elevator closest to our villa was shut off for a few days to be painted, so we had to walk to the other end of the complex to use the second elevator. This is no fault to the rental company. We understood that maintenance has to be done. We just happened to be there at the time.
The walk to the beach is a little farther than we had expected. You can't go directly across the street to the beach because of private beach accesses. You'll have to walk to the nearest public beach access which is about a 5 minute walk or so to Coligny Circle. However, there are about 20 or so parking spaces at Coligny Circle which are marked as FREE. It's harder to find a spot there in the morning/early afternoon. |

| We had never stayed at this property before but knew the area really well. Beautiful apartment, great for family with kids. Well furnished and will definitely recommend and stay there again! 2 min walk from the beach and Coligny Circle where there are shops, restaurants and kids activities. |

Somewhat dissapointed in the clealiness of the unit upon arrival. Complained to rental place and maid returned and wiped kitchen counters. Bought cleaner myself and cleaned the kitchen counter tops again(still had greasy film) along with the bathroom sinks, commodes, end tables and night stands. Also, swept and vacuumed kitchen and living room floors. Balcony overlooks parking lot. Towels were provided but no wash cloths. Upstairs had a faint odor.
Internet information said rental included bike. No information provided about bike upon arrival.
We were not satisfied with the unit's air conditioning. Instructions stated not to reduce thermostat temperature below 72. It did not matter what we changed it to, the unit's temperature seemed to rise and fall with the temperature outside. It was generally not as cool as we would have liked it to be. The ceiling fans helped some. Location was close to Colingy Plaza. Had to walk down the street a little way before crossing over to get to beach. Would not rent with this rental company again and definite would not rent this unit again. |

| This unit was very spacious. The beach was across the street. We really enjoyed the pool. Shopping and good restaurants were close by,some even within walking distance. Linens and towels were provided but you'll need to bring extra towels for the beach. Our family had a wonderful and restful time. We highly reccomend this unit. You'll have a great time. |

| Overall, the condo was nice, clean and pretty well kept. I was noticing a few things that could have been taken care of. The upstairs bathroom fixture only had one lightbulb, which made it difficult to see. The commode in that bathroom also overflowed in the middle of the night. There was also an unpatched hole in the bathroom wall. Other than those few things, the condo was clean and nice to stay in. I would just say that little things mean alot and if they fix those few things, it would be perfect! |
