My family really enjoyed this vacation. We stayed for a long
weekend but would have loved to have stayed much longer! The
views are beautiful from the giant front porch. We visited
Asheville during the day and escaped to this quaint mountain
house for quiet evenings. We can't wait to go back!

The house was charming, well laid out and stocked. The kitchen was easy to work in. The balcony was fun to sit on contemplating nature. The beds were comfortable. Our challenges were having five people and only one shower with a small hot water heater. I would suggest that the owners add a shower to the tub on the first floor! The other issue was specific to the fact that we were motorcyclers. The driveway is very steep and can be slippery when wet. The parking area is not level and that was a challenge to bikers also. My only other problem was a very small (12" in diameter) end table in master bedroom made of some sort of wrought iron curleques. Every night something fell off. My watch fell through the holes. My Sony Ebook fell with the water on top of it ... not good for electronics.

My family and I really enjoyed the stay and the cabin was more than we expected. Breathtaking view from the deck and a quiet location.
The kids loved the movie collection and also the Xbox with games for their enjoyment. There was plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable.
The cabin had a rustic feel with wood floors, stairs, etc. The only downside was the creaking you heard when people moved up and down the stairs and also on the second floor. Other than that, we had a great time.

We absolutely loved the cabin. We planned a neutral vacation spot for the family to meet, and could not have been more pleased. The view was beautiful and the surroundings peaceful. The creek that runs across the street provided the sound of rushing water all the time. We are hoping to do another family get together over the summer and would like to return to the same place

This was one of the best vacations I have ever had with my family. We have 4 kids and the place is spacious with video games for the kids, a creek for them to play in and a challenging climb behind the house for burning off extra energy. The deck is excellent for relaxing with a cup of coffee. Sleeping is easy with comfortable beds and the sound of the water when the windows are open. The kids room has a TV with movies,VCR,DVD,a bunk bed & 2 single beds, WoW! This is truly a great place to stay!
