We had a fun time at Trout Rock especially the stream flowing nearby. We also liked the serene surroundings and its proximity to the Blue Ridge parkway.

Really enjoyed our stay. Everything worked, beds
were fine, place was really nice and quiet. Lots of
flowers- landscaping is really well attended to! The
creek was lovely for fly-fishing. The fish, however,
were very small. Caught lots of 2-3 inch fish and 2
trout that were about 6" (one brown, one bow).
Beautiful location. Good coffee was nowhere near
however, so don't forget yours- Carolina Mornings
throws away all nice perishable amenities that the
owners might otherwise leave for you...

The best thing about this cabin is the creek right next to it. This was our second time, and we loved it as much as the first time. The kitchen is very well equipped and the porch is also very nice. It would not have been easy to find if it wasn't for our GPS, and that means also it is very private and quiet. Supermarket is about 20 minutes away. There are so many hiking trails and waterfalls within an hour range.

This is an adorable cabin! They had everything we needed and more. Hiking trails for Mt. Pisgah are only about 6 miles away and it's still pretty close to Asheville. A stone's throw to the river. It rained the entire time we were there so we didn't fish but we enjoyed our stay anyway. We'll be going back!

Staying at this home was a lovely experience. It is situated in a very picturesque location. I have never rented a cottage that was so well equipped or so prettily decorated. The kitchen had everything that is needed to cook a full meal and there was an abundance of bedding and towels. We really felt as if the owners had graciously allowed us to stay in their home as they had obviously tried hard to anticipate all we might need. I would recommend this rental to couples looking for a romantic getaway or to families with kids who would enjoy playing around the riverbanks

I certainly recommend this cabin if you are seeking a place "away from it all". We had a very relaxing three days and are anxious to return for a full week. Rasing the windows and listening to the sound of the rushing river made for a very restful night of sleep. The cabin was located very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and other scenic highways availing you to very enjoyable driving tours. The fall foliage was breathtaking.

The cottage was very inviting. It was very peaceful. The perfect getaway! Having the river run beside the cottage was great- especially since we could relax while my daughter could splash around and have fun. Everything we needed was provided and the owners were awesome! This is a great place to just get away and enjoy life at a slower pace but close enough to the city too.

I love this cabin. It was the second time my family rented this house. This was a perfect place for my six year old son. There was plenty to do: fishing, skipping rocks, taking walks, petting all the domestic animals (very friendly cats), looking at the ducks and admiring close by horses.

We will return!

this cute and cozy cabin has a beautiful babbling stream in it's backyard. The kitchen is well stocked and there is plenty of closet space. It would have been great if there were screens on the windows so we could keep them open at night and hear the water, but that wasn't an option due to the neighbors loose cats hanging around. We also would have loved sheets that weren't flannel as we were hot at night

Our family has stayed at Trout Rock a few times and have enjoyed it each and every time. The home is always clean adn supplied with everything one could need. The property is so close to the trout stream, you can hear the water gurgling from the bedroom window! There is plenty of things to do including DuPont State Park (about an hour away), horseback riding and hiking. Shopping and resturants are about 1/2 hour away.
