| Cozy, clean, well equipped with everything one could possibly need, great location convenient to Asheville, lady-bug decorations everywhere added to enjoyment. Good view of moutain from small deck. Cabin is small but adequate for a couple to enjoy. Missed having a dishwasher and kitchen counter area is small. Renting through Carolina Mornings was easy, and staff were honest and friendly. |

This property is advertised to sleep 2-4 people but it should be for
only 2 until there is adequate padding to sleep on in the sleeping loft
and/or the futon is replaced. We paid for the required 3 night stay but
left a day early because the cabin was not suitable for 4 people.
The sulfur smell from the water in the kitchen and bathroom is almost
overwhelming. One has to run the water for a long time to get clear
water and the smell penetrates the whole cabin.
The price of this rental was not comparable to the conditions we
experienced. |

Manager Response: March 12, 2009 |
Dear Margee,
We're so sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your stay at Ladybug Cabin. Thank you for your review and giving us the opportunity to respond to your feedback.
The owners of Ladybug have recently put in a new well, and try to combat the usually minor sulfur smell by frequently changing the filters. We regret this was not your experience with the well water. The owners also leave drinking water for guests, in case they are not used to well water or the smell of well water.
In addition, futons are generally not the most comfortable, so we usually recommend this property for couples bringing kids. When larger parties of 3 or 4 adults contact us, our Vacation Specialists typically recommend our larger properties instead. In response to your comments, we will gladly suggest to the owner that extra padding be provided for additional comfort.
We hope that you will call one of our Vacation Specialists should you visit the Asheville area in the future. We would love to put in you in the right property for your needs to help make up for your unsatisfactory experience. Thank you again for your review and we hope to have the opportunity to accommodate you in the future! |

| When we walked in the door, we spent 20 minutes unpakcing and finding more and more ladybug art. It was like a treasure hunt, and we had quite a few laughs. The cabin was clean and charming, with comfortable furniture and a working kitchen - all for a decent price. It was close enough to all the things we wanted to see in Asheville - about 15 min drive to Biltmore, and within an hour of several wineries and hiking trails. We would stay there again. |

| We loved the Ladybug Cabin. It was charming, clean, and comfortable. The loft was perfect for our teenaged daughter, and our mornings were delightful reading out on the porch swing. Although the immediate surroundings are not breathtaking, the location is great--far enough away from Asheville to be peaceful and quiet, but close enough for convenient forays into that terrific town. The entire area is filled with natural beauty, and the cabin was a great base for our hiking and canoeing trips. |

| My husband and I stayed at this sweet little cabin for a three-night stay. We would definitely recommend it. The road accessing the location was a little rough and I wish that had been stated in the rental info. However, whenever we go back to Asheville if we want a private, quiet place this would be it. It was clean, well-equipped and the bed and pillows were even great! I can see how a family with children would enjoy the "ladybug" excesses and the sweet little loft. It's a winner. |

| We had a wonderful time! This home was decorated in such a fun and welcoming way. Our son Loved finding all of the ladybugs in the home decor - probably thousands! There were so many "extras" too, the owners thought of everything from umbrellas to walking sticks to citronella candles! Our kids loved the horses/cows/dogs at the neighbor's little farm. It was so beautiful and relaxing! The loft was unique too, great for kids ~4-10. The 'stream' was pretty small, we heard no gurgling. There were some wasp's nests on the porch but thankfully the owners provided wasp spray. Also provided was drinking water because there was sulfur in the water. If you leave any items, they will gladly ship them to you, but you will have to pay $25 on top of shipping/insurance costs. It was great to not have to do a lot of clean-up though! Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would use this company again. |

| Overall the cabin itself was nice. It was very cozy and quaint, clean, and nicely maintained. We probably should have gathered this from the picture -but we didn't love that the cabin isn't really secluded and the yard is on a slant. However, one thing that was absolutely WONDERFUL was that they got our Biltmore Tickets for us and had them waiting when we arrived - making our trip to Biltmore convenient. I also liked the local pamphlets and materials found inside the cabin. It was conveniently located for trips to downtown Asheville and the Biltmore Estate (which is amazing). We also took trips to Grandfather Mountain and Linville Falls and Chimney Rock Park - all within an hour or two drive. |

My husband and I chose the Lady Bug cabin after much searching on
the internet. We wanted to do lots of things in Asheville and not
spend a lot of time in our hotel or a lot of money on our hotel. We
went on a wonderful Mountain Biking tour with Brown Dog and we
went white water rafting.
We think this cabin is very good value for Asheville. It is a bit shady
on the road going in and it's also quite remote feeling. I do
recommend arriving during daylight. The cabin itself has everything
you need and is quite cosy for a couple. I would not recommend
bringing the little ones. We enjoyed a very nice weekend away from
our three children while staying in this cabin. |

| This is the cutest little cabin tucked away in the middle of nowhere. We came there at night so it was a little scary at first but it was love at first sight when we sat the cabin. The decor was quaint and homey. Ladybugs everywhere. Just when you thought you've seen all the ladybug decor you could possibly see, you open the cabinets and there's more ladybug things. It's the cutest little place. The surrounding area is quiet and extremely convenient. It's very close to downtown Asheville. We were very impressed with the cabin and would definitely rent again. It easily sleeps four. |

| I have to be honest that we did not have an enjoyable stay. The neighborhood is, frankly, trashy (junkyard, poor neglected dog chained to trailer, etc). The view was exposed red clay, excavating equipment and a huge pile of land-clearing debris. The first night we put our daughter in the bedroom (since she does not sleep well in a room with us) and tried to sleep on the incredibly uncomfortable pull-out futon. A mouse in the stove vent kept waking us up (and he left mouse poop all over the rangetop). We finally gave up and got in the bed with our 3-year-old around 3 am. The water has a strong sulfur smell so guests should be warned that they should bring drinking water (a nice touch would be a jug of potable water in the fridge). I will say that it was very clean and our daughter loved all the ladybugs. |

Manager Response: May 02, 2008 |
Gudrun, thank you so much for reviewing Ladybug. We are happy to hear that it was clean and your daughter loved the ladybugs, but we truly apologize for all things that didn’t make your stay wonderful.
We have spoken to the owner of Ladybug about everything mentioned. Your feedback is so appreciated and helps us to make improvements to our properties.
The owner has let us know that they do have well-water at the cabin and experienced a bit of a sulfuric smell and taste at one point, but that it has passed. Thanks to you, they will now include a jug of water for all future guests regardless, just in case that ever happens again.
They also wanted to apologize for the mouse – it seems that one little rodent was a problem they were finally told about. Sometimes this can be an issue for rustic, country cabins. They have assured us that it was taken care of a while back.
The owner of Ladybug is indeed in the process of building two new cabins and a pond near the property. They have two tractors and are doing a bit of renovation. We apologize. In the future if you are not completely satisfied, please feel free to call Carolina Mornings immediately and we will be happy to move you to a more suitable property.
As for your drive to the property where you spotted a dog chained up and a junkyard, we do apologize, although we cannot be responsible for someone else’s property. While an unsightly drive in can leave you with a bad impression, these sights are not on the property, nor near the property to the degree that you would be able to see them from your cabin. We hope your drive in did not prevent you from enjoying your stay.
Again, thank you so much for your review. This helps us all make improvements and allow much better experiences for all future guests!
