| Red wolf was very welcoming and the cabin had everything that we needed. The gas fireplace made everything so cozy and the hot tub was a great perk! Loved the privacy, and the area. The drive to the cabin was quite an event, especially at night! Saw a black bear on the way out our last day - a juvenile. I would give it 5 stars except that the hot tub had too much chlorine in it. House was clean and in good order when we arrived. Thanks for a great visit! |

Wow, you saw a black bear!! Very cool! Hope it was not in the yard....
Yes the road is part of the adventure, but I hope you enjoyed it! Glad Red Wolf was clean and orderly!
So sorry about the chlorine in the hot tub, I will make sure to share your feedback with our Property Management team.
Please come back and visit again.

Well kept house. Comfortable, with nice furnishings and appliances.
Deck is very nice with wooded view.
The drive up the mountain may be dicey in inclimate weather, but careful
planning can keep commutes to a minimum.
Friendly neigborhood dog was a bonus. |

| My friends and I thoroughly enjoed our stay at the cabin. It was spacious, well kept, and really beautiful. The amenities were spot on and the view was really nice from the balcony. We liked it so much we really didn't leave the cabin much; though eventually we made out way into Asheville, which was an easy drive. It snowed our last day and that topped off an amazing vacation. It was the last big hurrah for a friend of mine who was leaving town, and Red Wolf was a really good choice to send her out in style. I would love to stay there again. |

Red Wolf was a great mountain getaway. The long, windy road leading to the cabin made us seem as though we'd never arrive, yet gave the great sense of escaping into nature. The views were spectacular, and the fire was perfect for snuggling up to with a good book.
I would say the accomodations (furnishings, appliances, etc.) were very adequate...not overly luxurious but comfortable. The hot tub and pool table were great additions. Since we were stayed in January it was too cold to enjoy outdoor walks, but I'm sure would be great on warmer days.
If you're looking for quick access to Asheville or other larger towns, this is probably not you choice as it's a bit of a jaunt just to get down the mountain and find the nearest restaurant. But, if you want the feeling out 'getting away from it all', this is a nice choice. |

| This cabin is a great place to stay for a relaxing vacation. It is way up in the mountains, but still close enough to go to Asheville for an afternoon. There is an extremely friendly dog that visited us during our stay. The view is beautiful and the accommodations are very nice. I would highly recommend this cabin. My family and I will definitely be back to visit. |

This cabin is certainly "off the beaten path". We enjoyed its tranquility. Fortunately, we were there mid-week so the homes nearby didn't seem to be occupied. The nearest home was closer than I had expected.
The home is very comfortable! Wonderful deck! The downstairs is being finished off - is a nice addition if a larger party wants to stay there! We enjoyed walking around the area - including the friendly "red dog". |

Asheville, where we wanted to tour Biltmore and see the sights.
It looked close on the map but the cabin was far up a winding
dirt road. Dusty in August. I recommend this cabin ONLY if
you want a beautiful location and are not much interested in

My husband and I spent our 10 year anniversary at this wonderful cabin. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery, the pool table, and hot tub. I can not say enough nice things about this little slice of paradise - it was so hard to leave. It's just a short distance from restaurants, and activities (like the Biltmore House, and the Blue Ridge Parkway). We loved the peaceful mornings and evenings on the deck, and sharing our left overs with the neighborhood "red dog".
Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home, we will definitely be back. |

My new husband and I spent four wonderful nights at the beautiful Red Wolf Cabin. It was immaculate, prettier than the web pictures even indicated, and very private. I would recommend that other renters bring a lighter or matches as there was a brief (couple hours) power outage; while there were plenty of candles, we were unable to locate anything with which to light them. The # to call (we got perfect cell phone reception) in case of a power outage is in the binder on the table in the living room and the staff was very helpful when I called about the power outage, even calling back later to check on us and make sure the power came back on at the time the power company had stated it would be. Also, as the information suggests, you might want to bring a flashlight if you plan to arrive after dark. There is an outdoor light that stays on, though. The hot tub was such a treat! Look out for the sweet little swing behind the property; we almost didn't see it. Careful in the shower--if the water pressure starts sounding funny, the shower head will pop off and clonk you on the noggin.
Two recommendations for businesses: 1) I highly recommend a delightful restaurant in downtown Asheville, The Laughing Seed. 2) Ten Thousand Villages, a store that is close to the Laughing Seed and sells lots of "fair trade" gift items. 3) Another little treasure was Troyer's Country Amish Blatz (828.280.2381), a sweet Amish store that sells great deli-type (and other kinds) of food, furniture, knick-knacks, and lots of other items that we purchased as gifts. It is very close to Red Wolf Cabin (highway 74A to Old Fort Road, then up 1.5 miles). It is open M-F from 8-6, Sat. 8-5, and is closed Sundays. It is about 15 minutes from Red Wolf to Troyer's and there is a small sign on 74 A that you might miss if you're not looking for it. One of the owners, Phil Troyer, was working the day we stopped by and was such a helpful gentleman.
You will love Red Wolf Cabin! |

We had a fabulous time at the Red Wolfe Cabin. The view during March is wonderful, as the trees aren't in bloom yet, so the mountains can still be seen. The deck is very big and also gated at the stairs to allow pets to wander on the deck without getting lost in the moutains (other resident dogs are loose in the mountains and the gate kept everyone separate). The open concept of the cabin and enormous windows allowed lots of light in and gave a wondeful view whether inside or outside. The main bedroom and ensuite were great and the additional bedrooms upstairs and eventually downstairs gave everyone lots of room, when needed.
The proximity of this cabin to attractions in Asheville and Fletcher was great. The drive (once we finally got to the bottom of the moutain - about 10 minutes) to groceries, hiking, the Biltmore Estate, etc. didn't take long at all.
I highly recommend a cabin vacation. This was the first time we had ever rented something like this and it was definitely unique. The Carolina Mornings company has excellent customer service and was always available to answer all of my questions. |

A Wonderful Week |

We had a most enjoyable week in the mountains in Red Wolf Cabin. My wife took her quilting and I took my books and we relaxed to the max. The cabin is wonderfully situated with plenty of seclusion. The week started warm and we used the huge front deck to read and relax on. But the weather soon turned chilly and the fire place kept us toasty as well as being romantic. The end of the week brought snow and the woods and surrounding area was so beautiful. Being from the coast where we get little snow, it was a treat.
Even our dog Jake had a great time. The neighborhood dogs are all freindly and seem to be out patroling to keep the place safe.
We have used Carolina Mornings for our cabin rentals and all the places have been special and all have been better than our expections. I would highly recommend Red Wolf to anyone who just wants to get away from it all, but still have satellite TV if you have to be in touch. |

| My husband and I, along with another couple, rented this cabin for a weekend. The idea was to have privacy and quiet and peacefulness. This cabin is beautiful and very much away from the hustle and bustle of the world. The views are gorgeous. However, we all discovered that sound traveled EVERYWHERE in that cabin! We slept in the loft bedroom and you could hear everything going on down in the bottom level where the pool table was, everything in the main living area, everything in the other bedrooms and bathrooms, making it anything but private....and somewhat awkward. Also, it would have been nice if there was a TV in the upstairs loft bedroom. If I were going to rent that particular cabin again, I'd only want to rent it as a couple. The cabin is advertised as being large enough for a group of about 6, but believe me, considering the way sound carried in that cabin, it would be very uncomfortable for all. |
