The cabin is tastefully decorated with a romantic flair. The furnishings are contemporary with antique accents. Each bedroom has its own cable TV, plush blankets, down comforters and soft pillows. The open floor plan of the downstairs area provides ample space for cooking, dining, and relaxing by the fire. The kitchen has been recently updated with new appliances and ceramic tile flooring. Two acres of surrounding property provide both privacy and plenty of room to roam. Only five miles away, the quaint town of Burnsville offers specialty shops, cafAs, galleries, several grocery stores, and an old-fashioned movie theatre. Other nearby attractions include the Blue Ridge Parkway, horseback riding, Mount Mitchell State Park (highest US peak east of the Mississippi River), and gem mining in Little Switzerland. Minutes away is Mount Mitchella™s golf course that is rated a top 10 public course in NC. Downtown Asheville is a tranquil non-stop 35-40 minute drive from Pie in the Sky. | We had a wonderful weekend at Pie in the Sky! The owners have thought of EVERYTHING to make this vacation home perfect! Two families w/ a total of 3 kids under 4 loved the deck, hottub, and huge yard to roam around in! |

| The cabin is all that all the other reviewers say it is: fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, clean hot tub that comes with a view of the moon rising over the mountain. I'm not sure if anyone else mentioned the excellent CD collection available! The cabin is located in an area that was a short enough drive to all of the attractions we took in: downtown Asheville and the Biltmore Estate (highly recommended), golf at Reems Creek Golf Club in Weaverville (also highly recommended), Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. |

| This house is amazing. The view is spectacular. Ashville is not far at all, so we travled there on Sat. I would highly recommind anyone who i looking to get away for a weekend to check this out. |

| My children are grown, with one grandchild, and we wanted to get away from all the craziness of the holiday's. Staying at the Pie in the Sky was perfect. The cabin was warm and had panaramic views. We are already talking about next Christmas and going back. |

| We had a marvelous time with In-Laws. Everything was comforting including the luscious beds, lounging in the den with a fire, hanging out in the kitchen so well stocked, going for a walk among nature and soaking in the hot tub. The drive through the country roads with great landscapes, farms and up the thrilling driveway are just great. Highly recommended! |

Pie in the Sky was a great weekend getaway. The description
and pictures of the house that were posted are very accurate. It
was clean, well furnished and had all the needed amenities. Not
too far from Asheville and within a couple miles of Burnsville.
Very quiet and secluded location which makes for a great break

The cabin is cozy without being too small and very relaxing. For a couple it can be romantic. You can really feel the care the owners put into the place. It is clean, fully equipped, and the beds are wonderful. You wake to birds chirping and the views from both decks are wonderful. We saw a rainbow over the mountain. The hot tub is great for soaking after a strenuous run, hike, or just to relax. The Burnsville/ Mt. Mitchell area is exceptionally beautiful and this cabin has great proximity to both as well as Asheville.
We would be happy to stay there again and highly recommend it. The only drawback would be for large groups in the fact that there is only one shower. Otherwise, it is a great option for pretty much anyone. |

| If you want to get away from it all, this is the place you want. It's clean, quiet, and has a great view of the mountains. We even had company on 2 separate mornings: a deer came right up to our porch and checked us out! We loved the setting so much we decided to purchase a mountain cabin ourselves! |

Very cozy, intimate, and spacious cabin. Everything is clean, fluffy and nice. On the back deck there is hottub that has gorgeous view of a mountain valley. Bring a camera and also bring groceries before you arrive as there is not a grocery store that we could find within about 15 or 20 miles. I was very pleased with my stay. Whenever I get the chance I'll stay again at the

We stayed here for our 1-year wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time! The cabin looked exactly like the pictures, and you could tell it was very well kept and loved by its owners. Sitting in the hot tub at night, you could see every star in the sky...it was beautiful (but if you want to have a glass of wine in the hot tub, come prepared - the cabin is in a dry county).
We had a great time and enjoyed only being about 30 min away from Biltmore and Grandfather Mountain. We would recommend this cabin to anyone! |

As the owners of Pie in the Sky, we have totally enjoyed sharing our experience with others. Our favorite part of ownership is reviewing the comments left in our guestbook.
We are always hoping guests get it when they arrive. We hope they find many secret delights during their stay. Our personal favorite is to have a great meal, build a roaring fire and then take two steps out the back door and enjoy the hot tub at night. We love the ever changing night sky, depending on the moon and stars, you can stare at the ridge line, or mist coming up from the mountains.
It is especially great with a light snowfall. We then come back inside and warm up to the cozy fire. The auto setting on the wood stove fan will heat the whole cabin.
Soon we head upstairs and drift into the most relaxing sleep on the pillow top kings down mattress. In the summer we like to open the windows and wake to the sounds of nature. So quiet sometimes, we can hear our own hearts beating.
We searched for mountain properties for over eight years, but when we pulled into Pie in the Sky, we said SOLD before we ever walked inside. If quiet, seclusion yet convenience to attractions is what your looking for in a vacation, Pie in the Sky should meet your expectations. |
