peaceful and perfect

This beautiful home is a perfect slow getaway or is close to many things to do to stay busy.

Plenty of space for a family, a great kitchen with everything you need. Grocery pretty close and the great towns of Boone and Blowing Rock nearby.

Awesome! More...

Great Weekend Retreat

I had stayed in the house before with some friends so when a group of women from our church decided to go on a weekend retreat, I immediately thought of Appalachian Adventure. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back this year. More...

Great house

Some friends and I spend a long weekend in the house and loved it. It was so comfortable and had all we needed for a great weekend. We have made plans to go back each May for your girls get-a-way!

Beautiful Home and View

Beautiful Home....Wonderful View. We were very comfortable. I think when the downstairs is finished it will be more accomodating as far as roominess. It wasn't very clean but that is not the homeowners fault. The only real recommendation was to have the kitchen better stocked as far as pots and pans. We had to go out and by frying pans as there was only one.
Great area, great for walking as there was no traffic.

Turkey Day/Appalachian Adventure

We spent a few days including Thanksgiving at Appalachian Adventure. It is a lovely house and we enjoyed the open space of the house.

The house was not as clean as we would have liked it to be. There were lots of cobwebs throughout the house and especially in the loft bedroom. There were some very large spiderwebs along the windows and fireplace area as well. The floors definitely had not been vacumned. We did use the vacumn and swept the kitchen. The house seems to be in need of a thorough cleaning. There was no trash pick-up, which was quite a shock. We had to take our trash to a site, and that was very inconvenient. Can't imagine not providing trash pickup!

Anyway, it was a beautiful house and we had a great time. More...

Manager Response to CGA

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments. I could not find reference that you reported these issues during your stay or at departure. We would have been happy to have either rectified the problem or moved you to another home. We do everything in our power to provide guests with a clean property, housekeeping does a standard clean before arrivals and spring cleaning is done yearly. The property was inspected before your arrival. During the winter months spider webs show up over night. The issue with trash pickup is address in our lease, as well as in the check in information. With houses spread out all over the county trash pickup is not offered. If you?re in the area again please give Appalachian Adventure another try.
